Vrlo lijepo očuvan stari srednjovjekovni centar, jako puno zelenila i parkova koji nudi obilje mogućnosti za šetnju. U centru ima lijepih kadića i pekara (odlična peciva). Blizu starog centra je i "alternativna" četvrt Kalamaja s tržnicom i mjestima gedje zalaze lokalci. Blizu centra je i trajektna luka koja nudi odličnu mogućnost i brzu povezanost (oko 2.30 sata) sa Helsinkijem. Centar je vrlo mali i brzo se obiđe, no jedino je negativno što ima jako puno grupa turista pa pomalo gubi svoj šarm...
