Nestled in a quiet, gated community, The Green Place was close to central Cairns. The property was divine. Immaculate, modern, tastefully decorated, fully equipped & roomy. Open spaces, a secluded balcony that looked out into bushland (that could be taken in on the plush day bed). The most comfortable beds (we rate as the best we’ve slept in) and pillows, large towels, pool towels, hairdryer, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and even umbrellas, were also provided. The kitchen had all the appliances and supplies you need for your stay. Gym equipment is also provided in the apartment. The property has 3 pool areas to choose from, which kept both adults and children entertained. An onsite restaurant that served delicious Thai cuisine. Our hosts were incredible, and really went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect - from booking to departure. Communication was easy, we were given the warmest welcome (even at 6am!) fabulous tips about the property and things to see and do in Cairns. There were check-ins during our stay to make sure we didn’t need anything else. Kind, friendly, helpful, attentive and attention to detail. Pretty sure they’ve ruined us for any other experience because you just can’t top their property, and hospitality.

Città molto viva e piena di attività. Ci vorrebbero molti giorni per poter vivere tutto ciò offre. Il centro, con la sua bellissima spiaggia artificiale con sabbia e acqua salata, aggiunge fascino al cuore pulsante della città. Da visitare anche la sera per il bellissimo gioco di luci e musica inaugurato recentemente. Le aree comuni sono molto pulite. Nelle vicinanze ci sono delle bellissime spiagge poco pubblicizzate.
Possibilità di fantastiche escursioni in mare e all'interno. Da non perdere se si viene in Australia. La cittadina è accogliente ma come in tutta l'Australia nessuno si sforza a dare indicazioni a chi non conosce l'inglese (che paga profumatamente la vacanza). depliant e indicazioni di tutti i generi solo in inglese. Neanche i tour operator più grandi hanno del personale che conosce altre lingue oltre l'inglese. Una vergogna. In Italia chi fa quel mestiere deve conoscere almeno 3 lingue. Bisogna che chi lavora nel campo del turismo si dia una svegliata altrimenti la bella Australia rischia di perdere una bella fetta di turisti.
Cairns è un ottimo punto di partenza per le escursioni sia in mare che sui fiumi o nel territorio circostante: obbligatorio andare a Kuranda con il treno storico e rientrare utilizzando la cabinovia .... non racconto di più per non rovinare le sorprese a chi vorrà fare queste esperienze. Cairns è' ben servita da locali di ogni tipo e da più di un centro commerciale ben fornito. Non ha una spiaggia fruibile e questo a mio avviso la penalizza un pò. La grande piscina posizionata sul lungomare, aperta gratuitamente al pubblico ogni giorno, sopperisce parzialmente alla mancanza di una spiaggia adeguata.
