The propietors met us and handed over the key and gave a a quick tour to show us where things were located.

The place was marvelous, so peaceful, with a great atmosphere and view, we enjoyed it very much, wish we had planned for more days here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pictures of this beautifully renovated cottage do not do it justice - it’s truly gorgeous with so many special touches from the nicest and most helpful host, Karina. In terms of location, I don’t think we’ve ever stayed somewhere so beautiful and I don’t think a base on Flores could be any more perfect than Fajãzinha for the views and incredible sunsets each night with some of the best spots - waterfalls, swimming and restaurants - mere minutes away in the car. Host Karina was so accommodating giving us lots of recommendations and tips for the island.

The house is comfortable, clean, in a quite place, with private parking. The owner is very nice and went out of the way to make our stay enjoyable. Flores is an amazing island and staying in Casa do Avo added to our amazing experience. Highly recommended.
