We were upgraded to a superior double suites which has a separate room and en-suite bathroom, which meant that the kids had their own bathroom as well. The superior suite also has a combo oven and a stove which is not available in the standard room our friends stayed in. The hotel also has a spa which offers a pool, spacious relaxing beds with partitioning, and two saunas with different temperatures. It is very much comparable to dedicated wellness spas. Service was good with friendly staff on hand who can advise you on what to do in Zell am See, especially with children. Our hotel gave us a “Summer and mobility pass” which meant that the activities and public transport were free (or heavily discounted). The location is a short walk from the train station and close a couple minutes walk to the pool and town centre. Close enough to the main attraction, but far enough from the busy centre. I definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you have children.
