Affectionately known as 'The Grand Old Lady' of Suva, the faithfully restored Grand Pacific Hotel was built in 1914. It boasts free WiFi, 5 restaurants, 3 bars, a day spa and a fitness centre. The reception lady that checked me in was very friendly and accommodating. The reception overall very friendly and accommodating and helpful. The rooms really were inviting after long travel hours. Breakfast staff are so friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here especially when you have special rates.

Generous variety of fresh tropical fruit, cereal, tea/coffee and toast. Open air dining area best feature of hotel. Menu food excellent. Had a great massage at the spa. Local bus transport just down road into Sigatoka and good choice of restaurants walking distance away.

Come as a solo traveler, leave like a family! Waya Lailai stole my heart—the warmth of the local people and the other travelers I met made my stay unforgettable. The food was delicious, and the dorm accommodation was surprisingly comfortable. Saying goodbye was the hardest part!
