Very good location in an upcoming part of Willemstad, within walking distance to all the main sights in the town, and close to both bus terminals. The room was very comfortable, with all the amenities that we might have needed (though the private bathroom was separate and not ensuite). Access to shared kitchen and a coffee/tea making machine available 24/7 was a nice bonus. Excellent breakfast on the terrace. Very helpful owners who arranged everything we needed (airport transfers, a boat trip to Klein Curacao etc). Most of all, welcoming atmosphere and genuine local spirit. Not everything was perfect, but we felt a part of the place and it was natural to blend in the local environment.

From our room we could enjoy the tranquility of Hotel Botanika on one side and the vibrant activities of Kura Hulanda Village from our balcony on the other side of our room. The service provided by the staff on our arrival and during our stay was exceptional.

The room was not very big, but was functional and the shower, bed and desk were all good. There is a large parking lot and in walking distance to Willemstad center.

As a flight attendant, I’ve stayed in countless hotels, but Casa Amalia truly feels like home. It’s comfortable, affordable, and has a warm vibe. I especially loved the unique handmade Amalia statues created by the owner. They add a personal and artistic touch to the place. The self check-in method was super convenient, making the check-in smooth and hassle-free. Nihaila (the housekeeper) is incredibly friendly, and the property is well-kept and spotless. Its location is ideal, away from mass tourism but still close to everything you could need. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, a supermarket, two beautiful beaches, a dive spot (The Tug boat), and even nightlife at Jan Thiel Beach. I’m already looking forward to my next stay at Casa Amalia!

Situated 600 metres from Playa Marichi, Atelier Skalo Boutique Hotel offers 4-star accommodation in Willemstad and has an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace. I loved the location!!! Being new to the island, to be walking distance from the heart of the city, was a major plus!!! Dina, our host was super!!! She was very knowledgeable and friendly. She even decorated the room for my friends birthday!!!!! I plan to stay here every time I visit Curacao
