Island Home is a recently renovated homestay in Honiara, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. The location is actually amazing. You get to experience a different kind of Honiara, away from a busy main street. When I was walking down the hill to the city center, I was surprised at the kindness of the whole community around. Children playing around, everyone greeting me... very nice walk (there is a minibus from town available, but I actually preferred to walk, for the experience of meeting all the locals on my way) The lodge is a family run business. Beautifully situated, with nice clean rooms and common area. I really loved JR, who is a caretaker of the lodge. Cheers to you and your family man!
