OceanBlue Resort er staðsett í Christ Church, 300 metra frá Long Bay, og býður upp á gistingu með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garði og verönd. An, honestly, unexpected gem when you drive there. The neighborhood looks a bit shabby and does not invite you for an evening walk. But…the resort exceeds its own description. The complex is designed in Mediterranean/African architecture with Gaudi-like shapes and works by local artists. The rooms have been perfectly renovated (2023), really spotless and cared for down to the last detail. The resort borders the tempestuous ocean and has a beautiful private swimming pool. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Nice to know that one of the managers/owners (?) is called Liesje, a typically Dutch name. Yet she is not from the Low Countries. The surroundings may be a bit less, but the resort has all the amenities. Too bad that the bar and restaurant are separate, so you have to pay separately each time. But that seems to have something to do with taxes. The small negatives outweigh the value for money. And therefore a: 10

Great hotel in a nice location - Shops and beach are near by. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, very comfortable and most of all it had AC. The swimming pool is a nice addition. I would be happy to stay longer and I can truly recommend this hotel

Sugar Bay Barbados has a year-round outdoor pool and spa centre, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. George Washington Museum is 10 minutes’ walk away. It’s a nice hotel right on the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great to get off the plane and go straight into the sea for a swim.

The rooms were very hygienic and clean upon arrival. Friendly staff and amazing food in house.
