All the food we had, both breakfast and dinner, was delicious. The facilities were wonderful, and the staff was incredible! Our taxi took us to a hotel by the same name as the street address. Fortunately, the staff there was helpful and called the correct hotel for us. RCTonsupa then sent not just a taxi for us, but a staff member named David, who then took us on a tour of Tonsupa and the livelier Atacames, guided us around town and really made our time there stand out. He saved our afternoon, and helped us get a great start the next day. We arrived late for dinner, but David arranged for us to get food, and swim after, and the pool was really nice. Definitely way above and beyond the expected. The water for the shower was a little tricky to figure out, but once we did, the shower was great.

Herman, was a genuine man who invited me in as if we were family. I was amazed at the hospitality and cordial demeanor. I will be back in April with all the family! The pool was perfect 🥰
David is a huge asset to the hotel. He knows and loves the area and is happy to help with any information or advice to make your trip better. The hotel is a beautiful property and all the staff were awesome. The beaches are beautiful, not too crowded, and only a block from the hotel. We didn’t get to explore Tonsupa, but Atacames is a short taxi ride with a lot going on.

It is nice and clean given that you travel out of holiday...
It is nice and clean given that you travel out of holiday season. I like the town because it offers different kind of food around. Nothing to do though but relaxing and taking sun baths, maybe a stroll through the beach. I’m traveling with kids so I’m not interested in night clubs or dancing. But nothing like yhat available there you got go to Atacames.

The beach is nice and there is a lot to do but this town has the feel of a tourist trap with lots of hustles going on to get you to pay money for stuff. There are a lot of people and the restaurants are only so so, and some of them are horrible for the money that they charge. The advantage is that it is a nice beach close to Quito.

Tonsupa is a quiet town on an incredibly lovely beach. It is only a short distance from Atacames, which has all amenities. The water is very warm and the surf is perfect for swimming at all times. It is a quiet area with endless beach to walk on. There are all kinds of accommodations, from higher-end to modest. People are friendly and it feels very safe. I love Tonsupa.
