Beautiful sunrise view from terrace and bedroom window from second floor. Relatively new rooms with modern bathroom and hot shower. WiFi was good. Breakfast was filling. About 30 minutes walk up but that means you're only 10 minutes from the top where you can find lots of restaurants with sunset views. Nicely decorated room.

What an amazing property on an amazing island! The hotel is conveniently located just up the Inca Stairs and has the most amazing view. My only regret is not staying longer! I would recommend this hotel to anyone! If you visit Isla del Sol, spend the night at this hotel! The woman running it is so nice and is a great cook. Such a peaceful and unforgettable stay!

The views were amazing, I didn’t even have to get out of bed. Bathroom beautiful with hot water. . It’s a great location and the host is very accommodating and informative with things to do and places to go. Yummy delivered to room breakfast. Best sunsets and star gazing.

The perfect getaway for my husband and I. The place was spacious and clean, the views were breathtaking, and Abraham and his staff were amazing hosts. They cooked breakfast and dinner for us, made adjustments to our strict diet, and even brought the food to our room. The nights were cold but the gas heater in the room was really helpful.
The trek up to the ecolodge can be taxing if you’re not in shape. But as is any other lodging on the island. And the views make it well worth it! It may also be easy to get lost since there is only one sign for the ecolodge and there are not cars on the island.
When you dock on the island, you’ll have to climb a hefty amount of stairs. Take your time doing so. Climb up until you find the sign for the hotel. From there you’ll pass an old church. After the old church you’ll find a fork in the road. Stay right. The road splits again, and you’ll stay right again. Keep going until you see another fork in the road with a rock wall to your left. Turn left, walk up and then turn right. The ecolodge is easy to find after that.
If you’re looking for a peaceful place with majestic views and excellent service, this is your place!

The room was amazing, the view was absolutely incredible. It may have been the best hotel room I have ever had in the world in terms of view and location. The comfort and cleanliness were exceptional. High ceilings, big comfortable bed. It got cold at night outside but I did not need to turn on the heater because the blankets were thick, warm and cozy. I would recommend staying for 3 nights as it is a perfect place to relax and explore. In fact, if I had time, I think I would stay there for a week.
The island is steep. Once you leave Yumani port you are climbing uphill at altitude. Initially the Escalera del Inca is picturesque but will stretch your lungs. After that there is more uphill. The walking surfaces are rough and uneven, if walking at night bring a torch. The views are fantastic! The best place to catch sunset and sunrise views is probably the highest part of Yumani village. From there going uphill to Mirador Palla Khalsa gives great 360 degree views.

Wonderful getaway!
Wonderful getaway! The island has no cars, but lots of donkeys and llamas. We were able to find a couple good places to have dinner and watch the sunset. We also were able to explore the island, walk to the ruins and the viewpoints and just relax. While walking up the first set of stairs, I took off my sling bag to take a couple layers off - the sun was out and I was overheating. I forgot my sling there and noticed that it was missing about 10 minutes later. I re-traced my steps and couldn't find it, so I chatted with a couple of the locals and showed them a picture of what it looked like. Within 10 minutes of chatting with the locals, my sling was located and I was able to pick it up a little further up the trail. I thought that experience spoke well of the locals and what they are trying to promote - an enjoyable, safe, relaxing experience. We will come back to the Isla del Sol on our next visit to La Paz.

The island is small but to hike all of it you need a full day or two. There's a beautiful sunset viewpoint at the top (pack some layers as it gets colder as soon the sun sets!) and some ruins scattered through. I didn't really get to check out the community itself; there were some restaurants close by that we just ate at instead.
