Very well maintained and attractive, with large comfortable rooms. A short walk to less crowded end of the beach that also has less wave action. Every staff member was fantastic!

The property location had beach front. The room itself was clean and met expectation. Although we had a room at downstairs which had no privacy. The restaurant food was horrible and extremely expensive. Drinks were bad too. The pool was nice but small.

Pretty beach...and waves ...I would have preferred calmer sea. The jet skis come in too close to the shore and are hardly ecological.
The fish restaurant on the beach is really good.. lovely staff and very fresh food at reasonable prices

The beach was a little disappointing.
The beach was a little disappointing. The access to the beach was piled with trash bags and recycling that needed collected. The concrete tables were in disrepair. Old tire laying on one of the broken benches.
The dinner and show at Villa del Sueno was great!

Really loved this calm, friendly beach.
Really loved this calm, friendly beach. The water was calm for swimming and lovely to look at. There are four nice open air restaurants facing it, we liked all of them, although Aqua Sport played very loud music at times, when the sound of waves and birds would have been much nicer.

Hosts were more than gracious, we had a small issue with the water heater and it was taken care of at our check out.
Very nice and available people. Gave us some great advice on restaurants and places to go. Would stay there again.

Playa Hermosa is a wonderful, small area with a fantastic, calm, sandy beach and a front row seat for the beautiful sunsets. We stayed here for our last night in Costa Rica since it's only a short drive to the Liberia airport. I would suggest spending 1 or 2 nights here at the start or end of your vacation. It's a nice alternative to staying at the airport hotel and it's very easy and quick to get to the airport by rental care or transfer (25-35 minutes depending on traffic). Just make sure that you chose the correct Playa Hermosa, there is more than one in Costa Rica!

The beach surroundings looked a little burnt out, very dry, not as lush and green as compared to the beaches down by Manuel Antonio or Uvita, Costa Rica. Please note that we did visit here during the dry season.
