We spent just over a week at Reethi Beach Resort, and it was the perfect island getaway! The journey from Male airport to the resort was seamless. From check-in at the airport to arrival at the resort, everything was well-organized, with a resort representative guiding us every step of the way. The snorkeling here is absolutely breathtaking, thanks to the vibrant reef teeming with marine life. A special highlight was the trip to Hanifaru Bay, where we swam alongside majestic mantas and even spotted a whale shark – an unforgettable experience! The food was delicious throughout our stay. Breakfast was solid with a live cooking station – the omelets are a must-try. Dinners followed a themed menu, and while we would’ve liked more Asian options, the variety was still impressive and flavorful. The restaurant staff were exceptional and really added to the fun. A special shoutout to Aiham, Kokky, and Akram, who made our dining experiences extra memorable. We often had lunch at the stunning Moodhoo Restaurant, perched over the water. The service there was always top-notch. Our favorite spot on the island was the Sunset Bar, where the incredible bartender Roshan made sure every sunset was unforgettable with his exceptional service. This was our second stay at Reethi Beach Resort, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again!

My wife and I had an incredible stay at this guest house. It truly gave us a taste of island life, and the peaceful atmosphere was a refreshing change from our usual busy routine. The room's design and ambience were perfectly in tune with the island vibe, making it an authentic experience. The local food was fresh and delicious, and all the essentials were easily available throughout our stay. The highlight of our trip was definitely the fishing excursion—so much fun!
Meeting the owner was a wonderful bonus; such a great person which added to the charm of the place. Overall, it was an amazing stay, totally worth every penny

Everything was great! The staff was amazing and the services likewise. I need to mention Nobel, who help us woth everything from the second we arrived till we left the resort and even after we left the country! Very nice and professional guy!
A beautiful island, lovingly maintained. Despite its age, it is in very good condition, clean and comfortable. We lived in room 222 - cozy and cool. Professional and friendly staff. All issues are resolved promptly and kindly. The food is beyond praise, a real culinary show. The reefs are alive, with diverse wildlife: sharks, turtles and fish. Nice live music. Special thanks to manager Nipun for his warm and professional support.

Beautiful Atoll and very kind local people. Many spots where to snorkel. The reef is full of life (beautiful marine species). A right place for fishing huge trevally, tuna, mahi-mahi, and baracuda (among other coral fishes)

I specifically chose Baa atoll as it is in the protected Biosphere that regulates fishing and any harmful practices to the underwater environment and coral reefs. It consists of a number of small individual islands as well as a number of "native" islands where locals live and maldivian culture can be experienced. It's also not too far from Male airport - just a short domestic flight and speedboat to the island.

Sadly, corals reef mostly deed.
Sadly, corals reef mostly deed.
However, there are still really many coral fish to watch if you like snorkeling. Beaches are good.
Clarity of water was a big mystery for me. It could change from "absolutely clear" to "milky" within 1.5-2 hours. Not sure what to blame for this: tide change or ash from islands rubbish burning plants. Visited two islands 15-20 min away from Dharavandhoo.
Saw many sharks from 0.5m babies to 3m

This was a very low key, relaxing experience.
This was a very low key, relaxing experience. Just what you want with a holiday getaway. Absolutely beautiful island. Water Villa room very nice, with snorkeling right out of the room. Boat trips $$$ were great to see dolphins, turtles, etc. Staff and food were great. However, we spent a lot of time trying to figure out what food and drinks were included in the all-inclusive deal, and what were extra. On "seafood night," I asked for a little half-pound lobster tail. Turned out to be US$73 extra. We went on a fishing trip, and they said the kitchen would cook what we caught. But that was a US$30 extra charge. Worst problem here is internet. The only place you can get internet is in the lobby. Wifi in bar and restaurant not functional. And if you want internet in your room it's a US$44+/day but basically doesn't work either. Seriously folks, it's 2023, not 1993!
