The facility was very clean and modern. Inviting lobby but it was odd (to me) that elevator was at end of long hall. Daisy & Crissy were very helpful during check-in.
Please note that the property cannot accommodate any early check in during the peak season. Aqua Blue Hotel is located in Narragansett, just 4 minutes’ walk from the beach. Free WiFi is available.

I was in town to set up a new apartment.
I was in town to set up a new apartment. My husband and I are from New England and planning to stay in RI during the summer. The South Kingstown/Narragansett area is a hidden jewel - everything you need to set up house, useful stores and very close to Jamestown and Newport.

I've stated at this hotel before.
I've stated at this hotel before. Each time I've stayed, there is a problem double charging my credit card. The first time I was double billed for the room. I had to follow up to get my money back. This time a random charge was applied to my credit card. Supposedly a credit was issued. To date, I have not received a credit and my card company has confirmed no credit has been issued. It's been five days.

Front desk staff was exceptional.
Front desk staff was exceptional. Linda solved a reservation problem by herself. Bar and dinner service was excellent.
Rest of hotel was out of date and shabby. Will not stay again. Price was over $300 per night for a Holiday Inn out of the '80's.
Location was OK for a wedding In Galilee by the Sea. URI close to the hotel,

Close and convenient to Narragansett pier.
Close and convenient to Narragansett pier. Only 20 minute drive to Newport. There is a Dunkin Donuts and Subway nextdoor to the hotel, but no other restaurants. There was a "rotton egg" smell for two of the days we were there, so we didn't use the outdoor pool.

The Manager and one front desk staff member were great! They helped us with our reservation and were knowledgeable about the hotel policies. The housekeeping ladies were very nice and accommodating when we a asked for extra towels and for our room to be cleaned early.
The hotel is set in a beautifully renovated 19th-century mansion, and its charm and authenticity are apparent from the moment you arrive. The careful restoration has preserved the historical character while adding modern comforts.
