Nice location close to town but away from the noise. Easy to reach by car, ample parking. Some of the staff were welcoming and helpful. Close to the boat trips for the bioluminescent bay.
Worth going to swim in the bioluminescence bay, its AMAZING!
Worth going to swim in the bioluminescence bay, its AMAZING! We did a private tour with Emmanuel, operator from the hotel Jamaca. Everything else was close during Thanksgiving week, the bakery is only good for sandwiches the rest was uncooked or greasy. The subzero ice creams where great for the kids and delicious. The best restaurant and atmosphere is Mooring Beach Club.

The town is quaint like many of the small towns on the far side of the island. Gems are hidden all around. Be prepared for adventure. Nightlife in the small towns is festive and so safe and enjoyable. Find a plaza area and enjoy free entertainment and authentic culture. You must leave your hotel to experience the area fully. Remember, this is not the USA, it is Puerto Rico!

La Parguera it's such an amazing stay.
La Parguera it's such an amazing stay. So much to do that I felt a weekend wasn't enough!
So many small islands to visit around with a boat or a taxi-boat for a reasonable price. Lots of gastronomy experiences to check out and live music, Will visit again

Quite town on weekdays gets transformed into hub of entertainment on Saturday night. We enjoyed both modes. Went to visit isla mata la gato to enjoy a boat ride and swimming in beautiful water of Caribbean Sea. Enjoyed meals in local restaurants . Would love to come again soon.

The luminescent bay was the reason for our visit and it was worth it. However, people told us the brightness is not as intense as it was a few years back. Other than that, is a good friendly spot for good seafood and relaxation. It can be a base point to visit Ponce or nearby beaches like El Boquerón or Jayé.

La Parguera was billed as a "fishing village", and that might be true, but we saw no evidence of fishing. It is a small tourist village, with an apparent emphasis on eateries and tourist activities. It is NOT a beach town--the shore is lined in mangrove forest. Fabulous beaches are a short drive away.
