if you're here for glacier np, be aware that kalispell is more of a regular town than a park entrance town. so, like, there isn't ice cream every 5 feet, tchotchke shops, etc. also be aware that staying in kalispell will add a solid 1.5 hours of driving every day versus west glacier. pretty rough when you have to get up at 4 am to make the drive to many glacier!

Went to a western type restaurant called Dave's ?that was super - atmosphere, food, decor and service very good. Have you tried their burnt ends of brisket! Awesome!
Food prices comparable to Canadian however 30 cents on the dollar made it much more expensive for us. Was worth the get away though.

A lot of stores either closed on Sunday or closed down when Google showed open. Waaaaaaaaay too many casinos and fireworks stands.

gateway to some of the most magical country, glacier National Park and environs. NOT TO BE MISSED. Kalispell is quaint western town, small but has all the conveniences and close to WhiteFish and Flathead Lake. You won't regret going especially in the Fall and Spring

Now that October has rolled around, there are fewer people...
Now that October has rolled around, there are fewer people but the weather is still gorgeous. Hotel rates are much more reasonable and have more availability. Lots of natural areas surrounding Kalispell (Whitefish, Glacier, Hungry Horse). Many great restaurant choice from local favorites to nationally known brands.

We loved the location and the atmosphere of the hotel. It's within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. There is a restaurant on 2nd street that has fabulous food. I can't remember the name of it but the desk clerk recommended it. You will have to wait a while but it's definitely worth it.
The room was super clean, and the inside of the hotel has been recently updated. It had a pool, hot tub, and sauna. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is close to restaurants and some shopping.
