Really I didn't see much of the town as our purpose of travelling was to ki in Rogla, aproximatelly 25-30 kms away from our accomodation. The hotel we stayed is not in the town but in a nearby village by the road and close to highway.
By car it take only a few minutes to go to Slovenska Bistrica where you can find a shopping certre with quite a lot of stores.
Slovenska Bistrica is fairly close to Maribor City, the second largest city in Slovenia. And it also close to either Maribor-Pohorje (and Areh) and Rogla ski-slopes.

Very peaceful location, amazing surroundings. We arrived after a tennis tournament that had taken place the same day on the courts of the hotel and were invited to take part in the open buffet that was organized in the evening. The rooms were very comfortable and absolutely acceptable standart.
Everything was great and met our expectations. The room was clean and comfortable for staying overnight. We had a very good late dinner at the hotel restaurant. There was a free parking place, which was important for us travelling by car.
The hotel is located in a nice rural area, with manicured gardens and a beautiful view on the valley below. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is brand new. The restaurant has a broad menu with sophisticated dishes.
Beautiful apartment in the very center of Slovenska Bistrica, hidden in a courtyard. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom and tea making facilities: all we needed for the overnight! Very nice host. Thank you!
