Property was a bit run down. Pull and spa were closed. No staff available when we arrived. Had to wait for a staff member to arrive in order to get access to the room. Breakfast was good and Staff was amicable. The suite was not worth the money I paid.

Very clean and quiet hostel in the center of the city. The beds are comfortable, and the water is hot. Internet is also excellent. I would definitely recommend it.

Ibarra is beautiful, small, friendly, tranquil
I love the proximity to outstanding nature whilst you can get anything you need done here. Doctor, dentist, tailor, beauty treatments, etc. Mercado Amazonas has anything you may need or want, from amazing fresh food, to cooked traditional foods, to consultations with local herbalists, to bedding, clothes, wellie boots... I had a broken, very large tent zip replaced here, it was a massive problem as it rendered my tent useless, it cost only $11 and was done the same day!!!
It’s easy to get around, taxi anywhere in Ibarra is $1.25 and $1.50 at night. Great connection from here to pretty much anywhere, on the bus, including Colombia.

Nice little town, a couple of pleasant plazas and churches.
Nice little town, a couple of pleasant plazas and churches. There is a 6 hour train trip you can take mostly for the enjoyment of the trip itself (with tunnels and bridges and funny train) - the end station Salinas does not have much to offer, and the lunch there is best skipped. There is also a nearby lake that offers lakeside restaurants and other activities - at the time of my visit the local ducks with blue bills seemed to be in an amorous mood, surely other birds can also be observed. All in all, you can easily spend a day and a half relaxing, if you like that kind of small town atmosphere.
The complex its big and well kept. Charming colonial style. they have 52 rooms. We stayed at a villa next to the mini golf, beautiful bathroom, kitchen with microwave, sink, small fridge.
The pool is heated with solar panels and is so well isolated from the wind.
Exceptional service and amazing breakfast: pancakes, eggs, fresh fruit and juice, yogurt with granola, bread, local cheese, butter and marmalade.
You notice it has its years but it is beautiful a d really peaceful, just before entering Ibarra.
My medical appointment was postponed and I had to make last minute plans to spend the night. I was very happy with the hotel. Very clean spacious room, attentive staff, quiet despite being in town. I would definitely stay here again.
Located outside of busy Ibarra in an avocado/coffee plantation, this hotel offers a relaxing stay. Only having the chance to have a conversation with the owner (Carlos) is worth the nightly price.
