Pucon's a beautiful city where you can do as much or as little you want, especially if you're young and adventurous. But there are also plenty of nice shops and restaurants if that's more you're thing. And the scenery is gorgeous. The only real downside is that it's an expensive place by Chilean standards. Even by American standards, it's not cheap. It's also about an hour and a half drive from the nearest airport, which only has flights to Santiago and Punta Arenas. There is good transport between there and Pucon, though, so you don't have to rent a car if you don't want to.

Pucon is perfect.
It is a very small town, like a village, with lush nature and very friendly locals.
If you enjoy peace, relaxation or enjoying nature with trails and sports, this is the ideal place for that.
The volcano that makes up the city makes everything even more magical. You can also go there to ski, enjoy the snow and bathe in the hot springs.

Beautiful location for nature lovers. Lots of opportunities for hiking and exploring - volcanoes, waterfalls, & thermal springs. June is rainy season so be sure to pack the waterproof clothing and extra socks.

This is a wonderful town.
This is a wonderful town. It is particularly wonderful on a clear day.
I would recommend the boat-trip on the lake at sunset.
There are lots of travel agencies that offer full-day tours in the region.
I did one called Huilo-Huilo and it was absolutely great!

Beach is nice and clean, sand is very rough though. Sandals or shoes are recommended to use. Water is bright and clear.

Great place to have an active and nature week. Climbing the volcano and hiking around the lakes of Huerquehue is a must do, but besides that there is enough to easily fill up a week. The town is quite touristic, giving also a lot of good food options.

We stayed for 5 nights and it felt like having a home. Clean, comfortable, excellent location, brilliant staff, and a lovely little cat too!
Would highly recommend for a stay in Pucon - we found the location was excellent for getting into town and for activities, the amenities are in really good condition and just generally well laid out in the hostel, and the place is kept really clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful too, and made it such a good stay. Thank you very much :)
We were given breakfast voucher on arrival, we had it the next morning. The Canadian-Chilean dude running the breakfast tried hard and made an effort. Food was good...for Chile. (which doesn't have great selections for breakfast) Good coffee. Avo toast. A smoothie. The wait staff were surly and slow...we didn't eat breakfast again there so its only 1 meal. We ordered cocktails in the evenings....good drinks. Pricey, but thats Chile for you!

Hotel staff is really nice, location is great, it has a private parking lot and breakfast is nice too. We got a room with a clear view of the volcano, which was awesome. The bed was comfortable, the room size is great and it was very well cleaned.
Totally exceeded our expectations! Beautifully crafted cabin, all details considered to make your stay warm and welcoming. Hosts were super responsive and friendly, and we are already dreaming to come back. Pucon is a very special place.
