The hotel is right in town, a short walk from everything. Staff was super helpful. Breakfasts were very good, with special requests offered and provided cheerfully. If you are a fan of seafood you will enjoy it, since there are many restaurants offering seafood, but if you are a pizza person you will be left hungry, since there is only 2 pizza places and both have the worst pizza I have ever tried. Also the best gyros place in town has very bad gyros since they cut it very thick and it tastes like not baked enough

The town is dominated by the stunning Byzantine tower; the rest of the town is buzzing with places to eat traditional food. The town itself is not particularly picturesque, but the surrounding beaches, scenery and landscape are majestic. It's good base for exploring the area and for getting boats to other areas as well as Mount Athos.

Great town for food and multicultural experiences. Bad town to be in if it's raining as the power grid immediately fails and there are only a few places that have their own generators. The beach is ok but not that great - as in there are many other better beaches within one hour drive from the town.

If you decide to go to Ouranoupoli is a must to rent a boat.
If you decide to go to Ouranoupoli is a must to rent a boat. The cost is 70 eur/day (without permit) and you can go to Ammouliani and Drenia Islans by your self.
There you can find restaurants with excellent food.
You can stop in any area you want where you can spend some quality time.
I recommend the local pies with vanilla / apples / cheese / spinach...

The room was fairly old fashioned and basic but very clean. There was a small balcony with table and chairs and a nice view out to sea. Free bottled water in fridge as well as toiletries/ towels.
It was fine for one night before going to Mt Athos, also parking wasn’t a problem while I was there and the area felt very safe.
The Mt Athos Diamonitirion office and ferries are about 20 minute walk away but hotel said ok for me to leave car parked outside hotel for a couple days while I visited.
Some of the rooms are renovated . There is almost all necessary in the room for one week stay. Comfortable bed and sofa.
The room was cleaned every day.
The swimming pool is clean and the pool bar offers what you need to drink and refresh.
There is a huge private parking behind the hotel .
Good location of the hotel. Not long distance to the restaurants, the dock with boats and local beaches.
The staff is friendly and helpful.

The hotel is on a quieter street and within walking distance from the center. There was a parking place for the car.
The room was very clean and spacious, with a big terrace where one could have breakfast. There is a small kitchenette as well, and it is sufficient. We had a lovely time there and would revisit this place.
