Loved the fantastic location, staff, property. Truly excellent service with an amazing full breakfast and excellent coffee provided on the terrace overlooking the pretty harbor. Croatians are welcoming, helpful and friendly in general but this staff takes it to a new level. The pool and bars are gorgeous, clever and topnotch, as are the sauna and other amenities. Supetar is on the beautiful end of the main little promenade, and the lovely walk to the point of the peninsula provides the ideal sunset view. Our room in the newly restored historic residence building had modern European appointments, a huge shower (with the best towels ever, lol), floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom that opened to the optimal view of the street and harbor scene, but totally quiet when closed. This charming luxurious property-- artfully decorated and beautifully landscaped--is close to the airport but feels a world away. Next time we will stay there, water taxi into Dubrovnik and hire a private sail experience. HIGHLY recommended. .

The staff was very friendly and warm and made us felt welcome. Owner spoke german and some english and she was very easy to be with. Owner gave us two room options to choose from which was nice. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Mini fridge was useful for keeping drinks cool. AC was working fine and kept the room cool even though weather outside was very hot +30-37°C (86-98°F). Breakfast was good as there was quality incrediences and food was tasty. There was big assortment of different jams for bread.

Chris a wonderful host . We arrived after midnight and he met us and let us in and gave us a tour of the apartment. The door lock was demonstrated, as it is more modern than we are accustomed to! The apartment was meticulously clean and very well appointed. There were many basic spices , olive oil , vinegar, coffee and tea . He even left fresh vegetables from his garden. We enjoyed refreshing salad for dinner two evenings ! The location is great if you are relying on using the bus . We walked up to the street and the bus stop (bus 10) brought us to Old CityDubrovnik one day . We used the same bus to take us to the main bus station in Dubrovnik to catch a Flix bus to Makarska . We could walk down the hill to the seaside area of Cavtat and take the bus back up ( one stop). The beach is free . Only pay to rent chair and umbrella. The area had cafes , restaurants and stores. We returned to Cavtat from Dubrovnik via a catamaran . (15 Euros or 20 Euros round trip) Nice to have a different view from the water.
The grocery store was within a short walking distance.

If , like us, you fancy visiting Dubrovnik but don't want to stay in amongst the crazy overcrowded streets may I suggest Catvat; To get to Dubrovnik there's an hourly ferry (20 euros, anytime return) or a bus for 4 Euros. Back to Catcvat; It's beatuiful, welcoming, super clean and not a "boom, boom, boom bar" to be seen...or more importantly heard. It's not for everyone but if you're looking for somewhere with charm, taste and small local restaurants you'll love it.

Lovely location for a nice break. Ideal location to get to old town via bus or water taxi. Cavtat is full of lovely restaurants and you won’t be stuck for places to have a drink or food while you watch the fantastic sunsets.

Pleasantly busy but not crowded or noisy.
Good options for trips into Dubrovnik and lovely scenic valley inland of the airport which is near but you don't get the planes flying overhead.

We have visited Cavtat many times and love it. Unfortunately since entering the Euro it has become very expensive. Also haven’t been in September before and won’t be doing it again, the mosquito/ bug situation was horrendous!

Cavtat has a lovely Marina area with plenty of restaurants...
Cavtat has a lovely Marina area with plenty of restaurants and bars. Laid back atmosphere, beautiful walks with plenty of water based activities and boat trips to choose from. Easy access to Dubrovnik by taxi, bus or ferry.
Cavtat is on the landing path for the airport but flights seemed to stop between midnight and 7am - so be warned if you're a light sleeper!

We loved Catvat Harbour and went there most days. It had everything you need for a good holiday with restaurants, beaches markets shops including bank post office bakers veg and fruit market boat rides ice creams stunning architectural churches museums and taxis and buses all easy to locate. The sea reminded us of the South of France French riviera but more peaceful. It had a magical feel good factor here and we absolutely loved it.

The hotel's location is great and has made us return to Albatros several times. It is located by the sea with it's nice beach right outside the hotel. Our room seemed to have been refubished recently and was comfortable. Cavtat is a great location for a family vacation, away from the extremely busy Dubrovnik but anyway just a short drive og boat trip away. We visited the island of Lokrum, the old city og Dubrovnik and Herzeg Novi. All day trips which is easy to do.
Beautiful hotel in excellent location. Sea view room with balcony was worth paying for. Set in lush garden/ pine forest. 5 min walk to hotel ‘beach’ and 10 min walk to Cavtat and shops/ restaurants. Lots of sunbeds in different locations. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and although busy at popular times we had no issues. Good coffee, staff were friendly and efficient. Highly recommend
Only stayed two nights at the end of a longer trip through Croatia. Had very early flight so location was ideal, and hosts were able to arrange taxis very easily and conveniently for us. Apartment is located up a steep hill from the centre of Cavtat but this was expected and not too big an issue for us.
