Great! thanks for the hospitality, all the staff at the reception were super attentive and extremely helpful especially both the young gentlemen. The location is fine and close to all major attractions and necessary nearby services. The hotel rooms were clean and tidy even the breakfast options were good value.
Highly recommend a stay in this hotel if you're passing by Tunis, especially given it's near the aeroport and allows for all travelers to skip the pre-stress flight process.

It was interesting wandering through the maze of alleys in the Tunis Medina. We enjoyed spending a day in Sidi Bou Said and Carthage (one day is enough to see them both). It was easy and inexpensive to get around by Taxi. The Bardo National Museum was worth seeing - four hours there is more than enough time. We had some extra time, so we visited the zoo. It was ok, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. We enjoyed wandering around different parts of the city (away from the main roads) to get a feel for everyday life in Tunis. We felt completely safe.
The food was good, but for my wife, who is a vegetarian, there wasn't a lot of options or variety.

Tunisia has excellent value for money in terms of living expenses and accommodation. People are friendly and helpful.
Tunisia has everything a tourist needs - sun, sand sea. Lively bars and excellent cafe and bar culture.
The city has culture and history. I visited museums like the Bardo and the art and culture museum.
I have extended my stay by 10 extra days.

Good staff and professional, the location is in the city center (it might be scary when you walk outside during the night since it's empty and dark).
The hotel has 2 parking spots outside and underground so you won't find any problem to park.
It's close also the airport, so to stay for a couple of days there it's okay I guess.

Carthage the highlight.
Carthage the highlight. La Marsa and other suburbs were worth a visit. Bizerte a big disappointment.
Tunis is not a very attractive city. Apart from the main street there is dirt and squalor everywhere. The trams are often packed with no ventilation, are dirty and in many cases there are no tram stop names indicated. There is only one small park anywhere near the city centre.
The taxi from the airport is all hassle as the drivers try to rip off passengers. The light rail lines to Carthage and to La Marsa weren't operational.
There are very few decent restaurants in the city centre. Compared to other African countries I have visited (Morocco and Egypt) the locals aren't particularly friendly (with notable exceptions).
As someone who has visited more than 45 countries I wouldn't recommend Tunisia under any circumstances.

The Hotel Lafayette in Tunis provided a spacious and comfortable stay. Our room featured a small couch and chair in addition to the beds, creating a pleasant living area. The room was spotlessly clean, which was a major highlight. The breakfast buffet, while basic, was good enough to start the day. A bit more variety would have been preferred, but overall the morning meal was satisfactory. The Hotel Lafayette offered a pleasant experience during our time in Tunis.
Ideal for train station for continuing journey around Tunisia. Friendly welcome when checking in. Main street five minutes walk. Clean, well appointed room with ensuite. Room at back of hotel meant any noise from the street or train movements was mitigated. Despite what I have read on previous reviews I did not find the surrounding area to be unsafe but some people may be more sensitive than I. English language TV stations available.
We experienced a problem during our stay in Tunis (nothing connected with the hotel.) The hotel staff went over and above to help us out on many occasions and on several days. Their help and genuine kindness was exceptional and ultimately ensured we had a wonderful stay in Tunis. Thank you so much.
I was in Tunis to visit family who were staying in Laq. Novotel was very central and in a nice and clean district. Tunis Mall was close by and it was a good base for sightseeing trips. The hotel WiFi is good. The food and restaurant are good.
The location is very good at the center of Tunis for all the sightseeing. The staff is very helpful, polite and friendly. There is a nice coffee bar/place connected to the hotel overseeing the main tourist center point.
