Located on Praia Pequena da Freguesia de Santana beach, this guest house is surrounded by rich Atlantic Forest. It offers a rustic-style restaurant and bar, outdoor pool and hot tub.

This place is a true paradise. It's a little off the beaten path - coming from Rio, it was a 3 hour car ride followed by a 30 minute boat - but once you get there, it has absolutely everything you need. The hotel provides tons of beach toys and activities, along with chairs and towels. They also have a great restaurant and bar, which includes a great breakfast every morning. And the staff could not be nicer!

Abraão is a great place, no cars, no pollution, it's the perfect place to spend some time away from civilization. As being a very popular place expect to be packed with tourists every day, all day long. I booked a few days in October and I was right in one way - the temperature was lower than the average... But it WAS PACKED with tourists coming and going from the mainland every day. Hundreds and hundreds suffocating the island and I was one of them. I don't know how long it will take the locals to react in the same way as in Europe....

Abraao is a rough backpacker town.
Abraao is a rough backpacker town. There is garbage in many of the steets. I would not recommend it although Ilha Grande is very beautiful. Stay on a beach distant from Abraao, that way you avoid the hordes and their Muzak!

Great spot for our family of 5.
Great spot for our family of 5. The hotel had a great breakfast. Brought In a playpen for us for our 2 yo but we didn’t even need it as the bed was very large and could fit our son in with us. our other two kids stayed in a bunk bed which they loved.
Location is a tiny bit far with the kids, but out kids actually did great walking to and from. Our only tiny complaint would be the pool was green, even though they cleaned and treated it every day. There was too much chlorine which was more irritating for me than the kids. They didn’t mind at all. Overall great!
We would definitely come back!

The entire island is wonderful and staying at Abraão was perfect for us. There were shops and supermarkets and many things to do such as canoeing and hiking. It is not the cheapest place in Brazil but really worth the visit! We had some good Italian food and enjoyed some caipirinha deals. We felt super safe also at night and enjoyed that we were able to walk everywhere!

Ilha Grande is paradise on earth, staying in Abrao is the smartest decision since is the "center" of the island. From there you can go everywhere you'd like. Either by hiking / walking or boat, you'll see the most amazing beaches, some of them even look caribbean.

Abraão itself is a place full of inns, BnBs and restaurants, but regarding attractions, Abraão is just the starting point of most "Ilha Grande" adventures.
Getting to Abraão is pretty easy, but you always have to pay attention to either the public ferry schedule or the "Flexboat" schedule. The public ferry (Barca) comes from Angra or Mangaratiba only once a day and it's the cheapest passage you can get, but it's a 90 minutes trip. The Flexboat schedule is made of different private companies and they cost about 3 times more than the public ferry, but the commute is way faster taking about 30 minutes.
I really liked staying at "Pousada Agua Viva" and their help with the commute was awesome.
The best meal I had at Abraao was at "Lua e Mar" and I ate the "Lua e Mar Grill"

I honestly think it is the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Brazil.
the location is stunning, it is so nice that the house has its own deck. it makes it so much easier to get there, take a taxi boat, etc. it is also nice to read a book.
the rooms are absolutely beautiful, I travelled a lot in Brazil and I never saw this quality for bedding, decorations, etc.
the service is great: we loved the breakfast and the tea time, and we loved the option to order pique-nique for our walks.
The pousada is tucked away in a less-busy part of Abraao beach, which makes it feel a bit more tranquil. The room itself was good and the view from the balcony was really beautiful indeed. The breakfast was delicious and I loved that they offered coffee and cake for the guests in the afternoon, it meant that when we got back from our day's activities at around 4-5pm, we could enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee and cake in the common area.
Sooo great, clean and adorable accommodation in very impressive Vila do Abraāo!
Nani is the most friendliest and nicest host I ever met and with her support, suggestions and availability for helping our stay in Casa Azul was magical experience and we had incredible cool planned stay in Ilha Grande.
Thank you Nani for everything and absolutely we are recommending Casa Azul!
Rooms are modern clean and very well decorated, overall a great place, probably one to best maintained room I have seen on my
trip in Brazil - breakfast is really good and the staff is nice.
