FAQs about hotels in Nerja
On average, 3-star hotels in Nerja cost $206 per night, and 4-star hotels in Nerja are $272 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Nerja can be found for $196 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
The whitewashed houses perched on rocky cliffs and backed by the Sierra de Burno mountains make Nerja a picture perfect setting. If you're not in a boat, the second best place to admire Nerja is the so-called Balcony of Europe, a viewing platform overlooking the rugged coastline and turquoise waters.
Below the platform is a panoramic restaurant, and there are more restaurants and shops in the narrow town center streets, as you would expect of a Costa del Sol resort. However, Nerja’s distinct character differentiates it from the high-rise resorts. Its relaxed feel and Blue Flag beaches attract families, and there are good diving spots off neighboring Maro.
The town is spread over hills, and below one just outside town the Nerja Caves stretch for over 3 miles. Concerts are held in one cavernous chamber.
A 19th-century, multilevel aqueduct spans a gorge to the east, while to the west the Rio Chillar cuts through rocks to form a waterfall. The nearby donkey sanctuary also houses the occasional other farmyard animal. Dating back to the 17th century is the Hermitage of Las Angustias, and El Salvador Church is on a square looking out to sea.
Booking.com’s Nerja accommodations includes luxury beach hotels, guesthouses with pools, and cheap apartments with parking – particularly handy if you arrive by car from Málaga Airport.
Nerja is a lovely place to stay for a relaxing holiday.
Nerja is a lovely place to stay for a relaxing holiday. Very much set up for holidaying. Numerous restaurants and bars and a cosmopolitan mix of visitors generally, definitely not dominated by Brits, lots of Spanish )particularly weekends) and French people. Quite hilly and lots of steps but manageable if you are reasonably mobile.

Central Nerja is just perfect.
Central Nerja is just perfect. The journey from Malaga isn't too long, or too expensive. Many fab restaurants for all budgets. The shops are great and of course the gorgeous sea and mountain views and beaches! We've returned several times. Plaza Cavana is a lovely square to watch the world go by whilst having drinks and of course the famous Balcon!

Loved the beaches and cuisine options.
Loved the beaches and cuisine options. No end to restaurants. We loved having a property that was provided a quiet oasis where we could also cook in. when we so desired. We enjoyed amazing weather and the somewhat this somewhat quieter shoulder season as we understand it is very busy during the summer months.
We rented bikes (through Bikestore Nerja)and cycled east on the 340 exploring beaches along the coast. We rented paddleboards on Burriana Beach and explored the beaches and shoreline from the water … Maro Cliffs. We visited the town of Frigiliana and enjoyed a free walking tour to learn about the town’s history
We dined at a Michelin Chef Restaurant … Oliva!! Outstanding!
We walked everywhere or took public transport to Frigiliana. Very easy to navigate and so affordable.

You cannot help but fall in love with Nerja.
You cannot help but fall in love with Nerja. The Balcon de Europa is a great place to people watch and just let the world go by. The side streets from it are packed with Cafes, restaraunts and shops that would take you more than week to enjoy. Tapas or full menu, Spanish, Italian, Indian, Tai, Japanese is all available and with a great atmosphere surrounding you. jet washed streets, with flowers and high sun shade awnings make it a great place to visit. Don't eat too early, book after 9 and you will see a Spanish town really come to life. Enjoy

I have stayed in Nerja many times over the last 20 years.
I have stayed in Nerja many times over the last 20 years. It’s a charming town with lots to do and see. There are lots of great shops and dozens of restaurants and bars. Most importantly, it feels very safe.
Nice clean hotel and rooms, and the staff were very helpful.
The rooms were comfortable enough for a long weekend, but the addition of tea and coffee making facilities would be great, as there aren't any at the moment, but you do have a fridge.
The location is excellent right in the centre of Nerja, near to all bars etc.
We would definitely stay here again.
The view from the hotel was stunning like a painting, the breakfast was so varied and superb from the fresh fruit to the cakes everything was thought of, location was perfect a short walk into Nerja centre and just an elevator to the amazing beach..I thought I died and went to heaven it was so perfect we will be back next year and the year after that.....
This hotel is only good for its breakfast and location although overpriced. If you want to go to the city centre of Nerja it's right outside of the entrance. If you want to go to the beach you simply take the elevator down. This hotel is good for someone who wants everything as close as possible such as my 70 year old mother. Breakfast is good too.
The staff at marinas de nerja go above and beyond to ensure you have the best stay possible . The hotel is spotless clean and so well run even under COVID restrictions . The management staff were so accommodating and always there to offer help when Needed . The location is stunning the hotel is right on the beach !
Everything was as booked, clean and comfortable.
Both the hotel and location are peaceful and relaxed, while being an easy walk to Nerja centre.
Staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful.
Food was a good standard, with a good range of choices.
