The property is in Villa Verde, not La Oliva (the town).

The property is in Villa Verde, not La Oliva (the town). I got off the bus in La Oliva and ended up walking 4km with my luggage! It's my own fault for not checking. Plenty of restaurants nearby, not a lot of bars, but I wasn't looking for that. Views of Lanzarote from Fuerteventura are spectacular.

Perfect spot on Fuerteventura if you want to avoid mass tourism. 20 minutes to the beaches on either side and lots of good restaurants nearby. Perfect for people who are into hiking, surfing or yoga. You need a car, though.

This property was a great last minute find.

This property was a great last minute find. I booked it Saturday morning, and arrived Saturday afternoon! Very central and convenient location nestled in amongst the volcanoes in the area, beautiful landscape, really close to El Cotillo and Corralejo, and a great 'base' to explore from. The property's immaculate and the hosts are just wonderful and friendly. I felt at 'home', and very comfortable as a solo traveler. I didn't eat out - there were kitchen facilities so I saved money by bringing food supplies in, so I could spend money on fun adventures. From 'here', I discovered Los Molinos, a tiny little ocean front beach community only about 25-30 mins drive from Villaverde (where the property is), and it became my favorite beach (until I found the sand dunes national park which is literally directly east of the property!). All up, the apartment has everything you need, and is in a great location to have fun from!

La Oliva is a lovely quiet location to relax in but should you require something lively it is within reach - just a bus ride or a 15 minute drive away. This also applies to beaches - which are absolutely stunning with little inlets all along the coast and the sand is so white and soft. I stayed in Villaverde which has numerous restaurants with one or two arguably the best on the island. The capital of Puerta la Rosario is a bus ride away or a twenty five minute drive away and retains a true Spanish/Canarian atmosphere with lots of shopping and again restaurants. The Canadians like their food and I love it too.

Tamaragua is a complex that has never been used due to high rents so most of it is abandoned, so bus ride to any shopping centres Full of ex pats so a lot of English spoken and friendly people Cassa pablo is the only bar /restaurant basic but it’s is clean, value for money ,plenty of choice on the menu Busses every hour to corellejo and the beach Local supermarket and pizza house

This old finca has a lovely, cosy feel. Nestled between La Oliva and Villaverde it's quiet and secluded, but with great restaurants and shops within easy reach, as well as trails and mountain wilderness within walking distance. Sunsets in the garden are magical, and Maurizio the host (and his dog Sissi) could not have been more friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well-equipped and the internet is lightening fast if you need to work. Buses into Corralejo and Cotillo are swift, cheap and regular. A proper home away from home.

My wife and I enjoyed 15 nights at Villa Susana. The property was airy and spacious for the two of us. Well positioned for Corralejo, los Lobos, El Cotillo, Puerto del Rosario, La Oliva and the sand dunes. The couple who looked after the property for the absent owners were very helpful and very pleasant. A selection of good restaurants close by serving local fare. The lemon trees heavy with fruit were great for G+Ts.

Our initial experience was so bad that me and my girlfriend decided to stay the first night in a hotel room and try to find another house for the rest of our vacation. However, Lajares is the place were you want to stay during your location. People a kind and welcoming and the food is amazing! Especially the Italian restaurant "La Cancela".
