The checkin by Jarvis was first rate. He anticipated our questions and gave us local advice. Very pleasant guy. He also wanted to make sure we were safe and physically walked us to the correct Route Taxi. Gary, a security guard on the property felt like a friend and was always checking with us to make sure we were good. He helped us get in touch with Captain Randolph who with his son took us snorkeling at the reef out by Booby Key.
The Firefly was chill atmosphere and lots of flowers ant tropical plants all around. Shade everywhere. The restaurant on the beach served as a community gathering place and we made friends. We were far enough away from the party bars that it was no big deal. One could easily walk up the beach to party all night if inclined.
We stayed in one of the secret cabins where we had to go out to the bathroom just a few steps away, but it was well lit and felt safe. The outdoor shower was fantastic.

After our experience at VickiTini we found another hotel...
After our experience at VickiTini we found another hotel which was able to accommodate our party at such short notice - the Skylark. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. The Skylark is the sister hotel to the Rockhouse where you can relax at the pool and snorkel in pristine cove. We had a drink at the bar which is overlooking the sea. From there we went to see the lighthouse and on our way back we stopped at Rick's cafe to observe people jumping into the water from a height of 34 feet.
Our first evening in Negril we ate at Miss Lily's restaurant which is located at the Skylark. The food was delicious and the serving size of the food was huge. We told the waiting staff it was my partner's birthday and they provided a cake and sang 'Happy Birthday' to him.
The following morning we did a early morning walk along the beach and then went back to the hotel for breakfast. Which was very nice and the portiion size again was huge. For dinner our second night we decided to have some fast food, so we went to Popeye's which is located in the town centre.
Our last evening a friend of mine who lives in Negril took us to a restuarant called Vinnies, where they served local food, had a bar and also live music.
We had a car and it did not take us long to get to the different places we wanted to visit. There are route taxis that you can use, dependent on where you are staying and if you don't want venture too far you can chill out on the beach at your hotel. Where you can order food and drinks from beach staff and they will bring it to you on the beach!

There are great local beaches to experience the ocean and enjoy water activities. The local food is great and can be found everywhere. Nightlife is also great but you need someone local to take you to the popular spots that have great music and dance. It is a great place for a get away from the realities of the everyday.

The town is relatively busy. The beach is good and well kept. There are many off property things to do. There are also many off property local eating choices. There are new properties that are in the construction phase and will be opening soon - look out for these.

I enjoyed Negrill and was a high light of my trip.
I enjoyed Negrill and was a high light of my trip. I enjoyed jumping off the cliffs and the incredible sunsets. The LTU pub had great food and atmosphere and highly recommend it. Staff made great recommendations to us .

I liked being able to walk up and down the beach without...
I liked being able to walk up and down the beach without fear and also visit several good restaurants within walking distance. I didn't like so many natives coming up to sell pot, but they didn't harass me when I said no thanks.
when we needed to go somewhere off the property it was quick and easy to get transportation, and they were always helpful and courteous.

Absolutely GORGEOUS! You will definitely need to have transaction or enough cash on hand for taxies. And there is only one bank/ATM. That I recommend going to in the DAYLIGHT if you need it. And the beaches are clean and beautiful.

Right on the beautiful 7 mile beach, walking distance to the Reggae Marathon start. Amazing whirlpool tub perfect for tired legs after the race. Best, kindest, most helpful staff - Opia, you are a star. Phoned me to find out if I was ok when I had not arrived at my planned time…the Knutsford Express bus from Montego Bay was running late…then sent a driver to pick me up at the Knutsford office so I did not have to walk to the hotel.
The scenery was exceptional and the surroundings was serene, calm and relaxing ... definitely the getaway my Fiance and I was looking for, the staff was super nice and accommodating ... it is a good distance from the major town of
Negril, but it's definitely worth the drive once you get to the location. Would definitely recommend and book another getaway there
All inclusive, so the room service was good, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Lots of good local and theme selections. Scenery was beautiful and we got lucky with excellent weather. Our end of the resort was au natural, and was very comfortable throughout our stay.
This is my 3rd time at Moonrise Villa and it's wonderful very quiet. Good location to everything and our host Ms Linda was great and very helpful as usual. My favourite place to stay in Negril if am on a weekend or just taking a couple days to relax.
Great value for beachfront. Basic hotel/resort that is well maintained. Staff was helpful. The cottages are all upgrades in new decor and have kitchenettes.
