Small town, much easier for foreigners to navigate than Ho Chi Minh City. Many places to visit, I rode motorbike to the lighthouse and the view is spectacular. Fresh seafood available relatively inexpensive. We have visited Vung Tau many times.

I don't like the over priced seafood restaurants in the Back Beach area. There are too many of them and not enough customers, their prices should be more competitive. Head in land a couple of blocks and the prices are much cheaper.

Very nice small town (small enough that you do not feel overcrowded but big enough to have all of the needed shopping centers and businesses one need while travelling) with nice 3 kilometers beach and quite a few temples to visit, not to mention the 32 meters tall Jesus Christ statue on a hill (814 steps to climb up there so a nice morning exercise).
There are also children attractions and parks in the vicinity

I can go there for relax, swimming and have seafood during the weekend.
The hotel in Vung Tau is with reasonable rate, the local Vietnamese foods there was so delicious. We can enjoy coffe at the hill side to see the view.

There was nothing great.
There was nothing great. You could not even have a peaceful meal without merchants approaching your table trying to sell you Their merchandise. Most of the taxi drivers take the scenic route to your destination so they can charge you more and think that I do not know the area. This is the only country I have been to so far where the cars and motorcycles drive and park on the sidewalks and if you were in the way, they will hit you. Unbelievable that motorcycles have more value than people. It says my second trip, but it is changed my opinion about this CDplace at one point I thought I would buy Property here but now I don’t think I will ever come back or recommend two friends.

I recently stayed one night at The Song Homestay in Vung Tau, and I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel offers excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with modern amenities. Host was friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests. The location is convenient, with easy access to the beach and local attractions
This hotel is just amazing. The breakfast is so good both western and Asian dishes. The rooms are big and well assorted. The beach on the hotel is perfect for small kids and the pools are great. We had a great time there with our family. Value for money! I will recommend Vung Tao to others instead of going to for example Phu quoc.
Very nice hotel and rooms with sea views are wonderful. Every staff member is acting to meet your requests as best as possible. Breakfast is always good and plentiful. We will come back a third time next year so this should tell you that I strongly recommend Annata Beach Hotel
