The room itself was comfortable and modern. Also, there was a Montenegrin woman who was very sweet and tried to make our experience positive and if she’d been there the whole time, my review might be different. My understanding is that she is not an employee and was simply helping out that night.

The property is on the shore of a fjord looking out to majestic peaks of an opposing island. The staff, Catalina and David were very friendly and eager to run the extra mile to make our experience extra comfortable.
We also took the king crab dinner which was a memorable event.

Beautiful and private location less than 15 minute drive away from Blåisvatnet trailhead. Away from crowds, and part of Norwegian village landscape. Aside the hiking we enjoyed the views to Lynden alps and sea drinking coffee in the terrace and taking a cooling swim in the sea. The apartment was spacious for its size and modernly renovated. We were positively surprised. Walk across the garden and road to beach allowed easy access for a swim in the sea. Host was friendly and hospitable. Our family had a great stay and will go again.

The area's main attraction is a stunningly blue glacier lake at the foot of a mountain - Blåvatnet. The hike is about 8 km long and you should reserve all day for it, because it is rather demanding. Other than that, you have to love watching the fjord and its wildlife, otherwise you might run out of things to do rather quickly.
We had one tiny store about 500 m from our accommodation, which sells all the basic things, plus locally caught shrimp!
As far as we know, there were no other stores, cafes or restaurants in the area.

We had a great stay.
We had a great stay. The host answered questions quickly before we arrived. A kitchen with everything you needed and a little more.
The beds were great, and the view was superb. If we go back to Lyngen, we will book this again.

This property was the most amazing find in a remote location, gorgeous surrounding, incredibly friendly and helpful host. Ask for local seafood - you won't be disappointed. Awesome place to see the Aurora Borealis.

- Pretty nice place with a good welcome by the owner. Think of shopping before you arrive (Lyngseidet is 25 km from there !).
- The situation is close to the ferry terminal and well suited to discover the north part of the Lyngen Alps.
- The living room is large and comfortable. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. Everything is very clean and well decorated.
The distribution of the rooms on two levels can generate uncomfort.

- The attractive aspect and situation of the nice black wooden chalet in the snowed slope. The prepared place to park the car just nearby.
- The comfort of the large living room widely looking on the fjord and the ferry terminal.
- Svensby is also a good starting point to discover the north part of the Lyngen Alps.
- No shopping center nearby and no one before Lyngseidet, 25 km east !
