Old timey city center with some half-timbered houses and generally traditional architecture. The streets are kinda narrow which gives you a comfy feeling.
The rest of the city is very spaced out, however, which is to say everything is pretty distanced from each other which means you have to get used to walking, and the trainstation is 10-15 min walk from the city center.
I think the best way to describe Randers is that the local H&M doesn't have a male section but they have a very modern cinema. Food was fine. 20 DKK beer at the old irish (Pilsner).

Randers, is not what it used to be.
Randers, is not what it used to be. The city center is now centred around how to get drunk, and how to get something cheap to eat.
It use to be the "capital" of the region, where today it's known for partying and the Randers Rain Forest.
There are some quite intersting buildings to see apart from the Rain Forest, and a walk along Gudenå (river) is also to recommend.

Breakfast was great - the Hotel was clean and in a good location. I didn't find it noisy and the window had good blockout blinds. Parking across the road was easy and safe. Aldi was across the road as well. It was walking distance to the main restaurant area (about 10 mins) and the receptionist was really helpful. The room was small, as advertised, but it was a great shower and comfortable including a nice bay window. It had a lift which helped with my large suitcase.
Super Breakfast, very nice Dinning Room. Nice and modern decoration combined with classic elements and in a classic setting. Hotel Restaurant was nice with good level and service minded. Specially the Fish was good. The Hotel has their own Parking which is recommended, easy and not expensive. Setting is in a Pedestrian Zone in the Center, so better park the car in Parking enjoy the City Center.
The location of the property was perfect for exploring Randers and for our day trip to Ebeltoft. The bed was comfortable and with the top windows open, there was a nice cross breeze to keep the temperature nice.
Note: the carpark across from the flat is free at night, but costs during the day. You can pay via online app.
