Sad room right on the street at street level. Dark and musty, and smelled of smoke. No air conditioning and no way to leave windows open since right at street level. Too dangerous and too loud to do so.
The 4-star Georg Ots Spa Hotel is just 55 yards from the yacht marina and the beach in Kuressaare. The historic Kuressaare Castle is .25 miles from the property.

Good breakfast, nice room, beautiful views from the balcony
Kujressaare is a lovely town to visit. The castle is a most interesting place to explore. We have enjoyed dining at the Vanalinna kohvik and Chameleon restaurant on two different visits- highly recommend both of them . Kuressaare is so easy to get around on foot- everything is situated within walking distance.

The city Kuressaare is seen in a day, it's very small.
The city Kuressaare is seen in a day, it's very small. It does have very cute terrasses and a beautiful castle. If you have a car, then the island is very enjoyable to explore, with nature reserves, hiking routes and beautiful coastlines. I did not have a car, and rented a bike. This did not help very much, because many interesting things to do are too far away with a bike and public transport is not sufficient on Saaremaa. So I'd recommend hiring a car or coming by car.

Kuressaare Castle is promoted as a top attraction in Estonia...
Kuressaare Castle is promoted as a top attraction in Estonia. I would say that the Castle surrounds were very good, but my man would say only good. Certainly good for many photos. This verdict could be also applied to several renovated timber dwellings in some streets of the town. The retail area has been upgraded and the town generally is becoming gentrified, some might say trendy. Certainly the town thinks it is going upmarket. Restaurant and eatery options are moving towards the aspiring and influencer market, with prices commensurate.
Thus you have a summer place, a weekend or discreet getaway in other seasons as well. There are various opinions that could be made, but for me I found the visit to be worthwhile. My other half views the town and attractions to be generally overrated, and the visit to be rather disappointing.

Kuressaare castle gives interesting insights into the history of Estonia in general, but also the past events of Saaremaa, which are good to know for any traveler to understand the mindset and the attitude of the locals. There are various food options and the town is tiny, so you can get around by foot. Castello Restaurant has a very nice hidden terrace in the back of the restaurant which is very cozy.

Very nice city, not big but pretty.
Very nice city, not big but pretty. We used only a few hours to see all the attractions here and the other time we traveled around Saaremaa island by car. You don't need a lot of time to see the main things.

Nice old, historic town. Well preserved castle.
Nice old, historic town. Well preserved castle. Town is clean and well maintained. Lot of walking areas, nice park and other views. Lot of lovely places to eat. Easy to get around. If necessary, there is Auriga shopping mall just outside center.

large hotel with various activities ( gym, tennis, billiard, children room, hairdresser ) For us it was the great value for the price, because they gave extra bed for free. We liked spa zone (especially our child). Our room was clean. The staff was polite. Breakfast: estonian kartul salad was very tasty, fresh vegetables too, but no fried eggs ( omlette I didn’t like ), pancakes was a bit ruby but with jam OK. In general there is plenty to choose from, you won't go hungry 😉
1) Location is great: near the castle, water but not in the center (10 min). Also there are restaurants near the hotel and also in the hotel.
2) Very good breakfast: fruit shots, coffee, potato omlet, meat.
3) Very comfortable room!
4) Good SPA with 3 swimming pools.
The hotel’s location was awsome. We had room with the sea view balcony and this was really nice.
Hotel’s SPA was very plesant surprise. We enjoyed the SPA quite a lot.
Hotel’s frwe parking was convenient
