Log fire in the cosy bar was a treat on a chilly evening. The very friendly and helpful staff showed us to our lovely room which had a wonderfully comfortable bed. Food was great, and the complimentary sloe gin and whisky were a lovely surprise!

This property was lovely. We walked to a local pub for dinner where a Michelin trained chef served wonderful food. The views of the surrounding countryside were amazing.

the room was clean, the beds comfortable and the staff helpful but the room was so hot it ruined our 3 day stay and we left a day early and were very disappointed as we were looking forward to this holiday very much. We could not obtain any compensation at all. The wifi was also very poor indeed and the staff explained this was normal.

Interesting history, quaint village, great food at The Grasshopper on the Green. Very friendly. Hever Castle near by, Churchill House, Sevenoakes and not far from coastal points such as the historic Hastings.

I wondered if it could be considered that when the hotel and staff all leave at night , if a resident wanted any savoury items in the room( to pay to get of course)you could get them . Crisps etc I would have liked to have some that later evening. Just a thought maybe if not in the room then the small room with paid access to items ?
I liked the staff, they were friendly, welcoming and ensured my stay was good. The service provided was at a good standard and it enabled us to feel we could stay around the hotel of an evening and be comfortable in our surroundings. The food was also of a good standard.
Good location (Service area on a highway) with fast food options (Costa, McD, etc) just across from the hotel, free parking, rather good WiFi, clean sheets and towels, soft beds, tea kettle. Friendly staff.
This character hotel is my favourite place to stay when visiting Kent. Large, comfortable rooms in a historically interesting building. Breakfast is excellent and staff very helpful.
Did not have breakfast but meal in restaurant was good
We travelled with my son and his wife who picked the hotel which had ground floor rooms and handy. Disabled parking
