This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect setting for exploring the Cotswolds. The staff was especially helpful when we faced a challenge with our rental car, and also in helping us understand the bus routes back to Bourton on the Water as we prepared for a walk to Stow on the Wold. We would be delighted to return to Chester House Hotel in the future.

We stayed in room number 11 and it was incredible. We loved the special touches. We also ate in the restaurant om site and had the best meal. The setting was idyllic.

It was a real pleasure to to stay at this very elegant historic hotel which can I say holds accurate and precise measures in the current covid drama. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again as I felt so assured measures were being done to protect staff and guests alike. I came with my mum as we are both facing stressful lives personal matters and we really felt like this was a haven retreat to de stress and forget life for the time we were there. We took the delicious and hearty cream tea, dined for our evening meal (please be aware you must book for both as they fill up quickly) all ecceeded our expectations with quality and taste. We look forward to coming back again.

Overall our stay was excellent and the hotel met our needs.
The only comment we would have is that the bathrooms could be made more helpful for the older visitors I.e Extra grab handles in the bath area to enable entry to and from the bath
It is a fantastic hotel in a great location and the food was exceptional. The bar and common areas are outstanding. It doesn't have a gym or pool, but it was just an exceptional experience.
