In the heart of the charming market town, The Golden Lion at Settle dates from the 17th century and offers a bar, an elegant restaurant, and free Wi-Fi in public areas.
Built in 1841, this Grade II listed building has retained many period features, with converted and tastefully furnished interiors creating the warm and friendly atmosphere.

Needed to be in Settle for a function elsewhere in the town. It suited us well for what we needed it for. Would have been nice to have stayed longer.
In the North Yorkshire town of Giggleswick, 5 minutes from the A65, Harts Head Hotel provides cozy accommodations and a traditional bar and restaurants with log fire.
Enjoyed walking around the little shops.
People are friendly and welcoming.
Enjoyed an evening meal at The Golden Lion and also at the Italian -Rosa and Mattel’s. Both lovely meals
Travelled on the Settle to Carlisle train which was very good with some lovely scenery.

Settle is a lovely little town with lots of walks out onto the moors and hillsides from the centre of town itself. The views across the valley from Upper Settle are fabulous. It’s a place full of history, lovely old buildings and cobbled ginnels. It has some quaint shops and a great selection of cafes etc....

Settle in right in the heart of the Western Yorkshire Dales and I would say the best views, absolutely stunning. Near the Yorkshire 3 peaks. Take the road from Settle to Hawes and you will see such lovely landscape. I love it here

Settle is a lovely small town with lots of cafés and places to eat. Victoria Hall with its garden at the back is a superb place to go for entertainment and great cakes! The breakfast at The Naked Man café is outstanding. Food at The Golden Lion is excellent. Settle is a good base for walking and cycling.

It was a busy place. With lots of attractions to observe. The flower pot festival was my main reason for going, and I was not disappointed.
We ate at the hotel , but had a brew and cake from the Naked Old Man . It was a good cuppa and the cake was delicious.
The walk round looking for the flowerpots following the trail was a bit confusing. I would have been better with a map to follow. But it was not mentioned when we bought the trail papers.

Everything wow. The decor, the staff, the room was beautiful, lovely little espresso machine in there too, very comfy bed, the food was fantastic, breakfast was exceptional. We usually stay at the Royal Oak down the road and we’ll never stay there again, so if you’re in between which one to choose, pay the little bit extra because it was well worth it. We stayed in Leeds at the Hilton for a few days prior, and this hotel made the Hilton look like a travelodge.
Beautiful charming hotel, made to feel very welcome right through our stay. The staff was very polite, attentive and genuinely nice people. The seating areas outside with the Beautiful views and gorgeous smelling lavender was so relaxing and our room was so lovely and clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed I've stayed in, in a hotel. I will definitely stay again.
Our room was great with everything we needed and an excellent view of Settle. Everything was in great condition plus very clean and tidy. The staff at the Royal Oak were incredible. They were really helpful and friendly and gave us excellent recommendation of the local area. We were very satisfied.
This hotel felt like a real find, we loved it and will definitely stay again next time we are in the area. The room and facilities were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The evening meal was superb, and breakfast was also really tasty.
Location in the middle of Settle couldn’t have been any better. The kitchen & bathroom were spacious /open plan spaces with modern good quality units.
Beds were comfy. Decor was quirky & bright. Felt very secure
