Our room and the views were amazing! The amenities were lovely as was the staff. Our kids spent the rest of our holiday after we left asking if we could go back to The Bay Hotel. We definitely plan on coming back here again sometime!

A good location if you are exploring the Fife coast and also want to travel into Edinburgh. Not so good for restaurants or public transport as few buses on a Sunday. The town is more industrial than a shopping destination. Good train service into Edinburgh.

Kirkcaldy is a quirky little town with a lovely beach front promenade. Apparently the town fathers ruled against any free parking some years ago, which has deeply impacted business retention, and now many young people are leaving. The High Street is a bit sad. BUT excellent restaurants - Marino's Italian and Koku oShi sushi - both top notch. And we sampled two wonderful cafe's - R & S and Merchants - make sure to visit the back yard in Merchants, especially climbing to the top of the yard so you can really see what this centuries old house looked like.

Helpful, attentive staff made a short stay very comfortable. When I brought an issue with my dinner to their attention the staff didn't quibble but immediately removed the item from by bill and offered an alternative or replacement.

We were there to attend an event and to conduct some family history research in the excellent facilities provided by Kirkcaldy Library and Museum. The town itself is looking good, certainly in the area round Victoria Road.

Kirkcaldy is a good place for access to Edinburgh, Fife and The East Neuk. It has its own charm, but the town centre is quite run down. Take the bus to the nearby beaches, or right up to the beautiful villages of East Neuk. There are a couple of good curry houses on the High Street, I liked The Prince especially. The older streets away from the High Street and the Parks are quite lovely, and the museum and gallery are good.

Visited the gallery/museum which was located near our hotel.

Visited the gallery/museum which was located near our hotel. This was a hidden gem as the pictures on display were very good as was the museum which had sections dedicated to the past linoleum industry and mining communities. Fascinating. Kirkcaldy has a full range of shops available as well as a modernised sea promenade. All in all found Kirkcaldy a very enjoyable place to visit and wished we had spent more time there!

Well placed location for Edinburgh just a little awkward for google maps having first taken me to a Greene King literally 200 yards away but once there about 4/5 mins to get to the correct location. Hotel itself is well presented, very neat and tidy, room was small but I was on a budget from work and for the money I haven't stayed in a better equipped room for anywhere near the cost of the stay.

We had a lovely stay in the Victoria Hotel. It was clean & cosy. Hotel beds can often be hard on my dodgy back but not at the Victoria, the bed was so comfortable and I woke each morning without even a twinge of discomfort. Also a very easy 10 minute walk to the train station making it a great base for exploring Edinburgh. All Staff were so friendly & helpful. Would certainly stay again!

The property is in an ideal location. We took a day trip to St Andrew’s and ate in Kirkcaldy. Taxis to town were £9 each way.
