The owner is the nicest person ever. He came out very late to help us due to no cell service. He went out of his way to help us and the place is lovely and very clean. I recommend the County Hotel with a 10+ rating!

The location was perfect for our visit to Glentress Forest. The breakfast was great. Loved the toiletries in the bathroom. The check in was smooth and we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and locals in the bar.

It feels as though you are miles from anywhere, but in fact you are not that far from Selkirk. Hardly any traffic comes this way, so it has that untravelled feeling. Ettrickbridge is a tiny little place, wonderfully quiet, yet the bar was lively and friendly.

Very good and comfortable rooms in the Cross Keys with everything one could wish for. Everyone was friendly and chatted to us. The food was great and well presented. As we were only there for one night we were not out and about the locality.
