Facilities were great and everything was thought of like fridge, coffee machine and comfy beds.
I thought it might be noisy as close to the road but not at all.

All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. Ashley, in particular was a ray of sunshine on the rainy/gusty day we arrived. She answered questions enthusiastically and so warmly greeted us each time we walked back in. I had no idea just how close we were to Hampton Court--literally across the street! Yet we felt we were in a small village, just walking distance to some wonderful shops/restaurants. The breakfast was amazing, & the service great. We had fun such eating our breakfast on the banks of the Thames River, imagining what it must have been like sitting at the same location, centuries ago, watching all the activities of Henry the VIII's court.

Nearest shops were in Esher but i would not go there for shopping. It is handy if you want to drive to Chessington Adventure Centre.
Claygate has aome shops too but very small high streets and not much to do.
There is a co-op near the hotel.

Large room, big comfy bed, big tv, fridge and large walk in shower. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking facilities at the rear of the hotel. Breakfast optional. Late check out time of 11am.
Lovely hotel in a great location. Beautifully decorated rooms & very quiet as away from the bar/restaurant. Great restaurant too - had evening meal and breakfast which were really good.
Great location for our needs of walking to/from sandown racecourse and walking to/from claygate train station. Very clean,Great breakfast and very friendly and helpful
