Exceptional in every way. It is worth making a special effort to visit the gorgeous town of Murten, and stay here. Ask for a castle view.

The room was really comfortable. It was thoughtfully decorated and it was easy to feel at home here. The bread, cheese, and coffee provided in the breakfast room was also nice. I had a pleasant stay and would happily return.

The breakfast was outstanding as well as the lunch. Beautiful little garden, comfortable room, nice shower. Complementary tea, coffee and water were appreciated.

It's a very attractive little lakeside town with a medieval centre, including intact and walkable fortification wall, and lots of nice places to eat. It is well-connected transport-wise for visits to nearby attractions like the roman ruins in Avenches or the (really well-worth visiting) 12th century abbey in Payerne. Lake boats ply daily (in summer) to Neuchatel.

Great location and large, clean, beautifully furnished rooms above a restaurant right on the main street of town. It was not far from the train station which was also great since we were traveling by train to Murten and made excursions by train from there. Murten is a wonderful town to stay in with easy boat and train excursions from the town and very good restaurants in town. Murten was a great choice since it was close to Bern but without all the negatives of a larger city.
The location in the very centre of the old town is convenient. All sights can be easily reached by foot. The same holds true also for the train station and boat pier, as well. But the very central location also means that in the room there is a lot of noise from the street. The room and the common areas were fairly clean. The bed was comfy. The hotel’s WiFi worked well.
I am grateful to the front desk staff for the extraordinary service I enjoyed at your hotel. You all went above and beyond to ensure I were comfortable and well cared for throughout my time with you. Thank you and keep up the good work!!
Very clean and pleasant accommodation not far from the center of Murten. We were pleased with the well-equipped kitchen and a small coffee machine with coffee capsules. It took us about 20 minutes to walk to the historic center.
