+ parking was quite private behind the hotel, sharing the large space with other parking lots reserved for other residential buildings and companies. Safe due to large pools of rainwater, deep potholes and just because Scandinavia is safe :)
+ double (marshmallow) bed, two bar stools and a small table in the room, as well as a microwave (but no kettle) and a small fridge (noisy as a fighter jet and full of ice).
+ windows that could be opened and used for ventilation as well as a dedicated narrow one, filled with a filtering wool, leading to quite busy street and the most noisy O'Learys sportbar/night club we ever came across.
+ common area on the second floor with free coffee machine and even some fruits and cereals.
+ there suppose to be a gym and sauna in the basement but it didn't look welcoming to us and we just turned back on the first sight of youngsters gathering.
+ it seemed there was a washing machine on the second floor but no information about usage rules/costs.

Skellefteå is a town with an intriguing history. A pretty town on the banks of a large river.
The view across the river of the beautiful main church has been obscured by an ugly multi-story parking garage. Who thought up that damaging action?
The town is currently in the grips of street optimization. The narrowing of the main East-West street, is questionable and will soon cause traffic congestion.
The station is still in place, but no rail traffic goes there apart from goods !! The infrastructure around the railway and station needs to be optimized and take advantage of the existence of a rail link to the rest of Sweden and the outside World.

I stayed 5 days, mid September, for a conference and had some free time. When it wasn't raining, I enjoyed beautiful walks along the river (4 hour circuit), and I ran to the coast (12 km away), and through forestry roads. Easy returns by public transport as the busses are frequent and accept credit card. I did not need Swedish money at all during my stay. The town museum is a must see, even if small, and you should visit the historical part of town, which is nearby. I confess to only having eaten asian food while in town. I did not identify a restaurant with Swedish food, which I would have liked to try.
Excellent location, close to the bus station so one can move easily around the city from the hotel.

Very nice hotel awesome staff very helpful, evening before leaving we asked about taxi for next day to airport, there was no problem for ordering one ahead. Very nice breakfast with lots of choice.
