I took my 10 year old son to visit my brother who lives in Northern Yokohama. We stayed in a quieter more suburban area of Yokohama, but with a Pasmo card and the Jorudan webpage, getting around the whole Toyoko area was easy. I liked being able to eat out in the evenings with no waiting/queueing, and having easy access to a big supermarket was a plus. It's also much closer to Haneda airport than Narita, so that made the connecting in and out on our trip much quicker and easier. It was ideal as a calm and safe place to take a child, whilst still allowing easy access to places like Shibuya, Akihabara, Ueno and Kamakura within an hour's train ride.

The hotel was really comfortable 7-Eleven just a entrance nearby shopping malls and restaurants and overall feels really premium. Just taking account that it's quite a walk between the hotel and public transport.

Yokohama is a great location to visit areas south of Tokyo like Kamakura- also very quick into Haneda for onward journeys. Yokohama waterfront is pleasant to stroll round for half a day or so - the funfair is a bit run down , but a trip in the wheel is fun. The Porters mall is like a giant market. The cup noodle factory was shut when we were there - that would have been something else to do.

I grew up in Yokohama as a child so I am biased.
I grew up in Yokohama as a child so I am biased. I love Yamashita park and the wonderful programs and events they have for the public. Chinatown, Motomachi, Izezakecho and Sakuragicho are interesting shopping and walking areas. One of my favorite parks and gardens in all of Japan ,including Kyoto and Kanazawa, is Sankeiin. A must see for visitors to Yokohama. There are many other areas and sights that make Yokohama an interesting city to visit.

Yokohama is a busy place and better if you make reservations for dining ahead of time. I recommend on-line booking for Okonomyaki Columbus Ishikawacho. English-speaking host, Yeo Han, made it easier for us, as he explained all the options. The food and atmosphere were great in this small out-of-the-way local restaurant

Great location, very handy close to the metro and airport shuttle. Loved the view from our room, over the harbour and passenger terminal.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved how they included us in the New Year celebration. Luggage storing for the day was great, as we had one full day before our flight home. It allowed us to explore Yokohama freely before heading to the airport.
Breakfast was nice, though not as generous as some others we've had in Japan.
This was part of our honeymoon trip to Japan, the hotel greeted us warmly on arrival. Due to it being our honeymoon, the manager allowed us to check in early and we were greeted by a card and wine.
Absolutely fabulous service and nothing was a problem for them.
Rooms were spacious and comfortable and the hotel itself was in walking distance of everything in Yokohama.
It was a very comfortable stay and excellent value. We opted for the breakfast option, which is was well worth it. A wonderful ‘western style’ and ‘Japanese style’ buffet to choose from. Nice and clean rooms and quite large for Japanese standards. So glad we chose this hotel, even though we were commuting to Tokyo on a daily basis.
The property is in a good location with two handy stations nearby (approx 5 minute walk). I also think compared to other Japanese hotels the size is decent for its price, not a huge room but fine for a short stay for a couple.
Amazing hotel, our room had a view of Mr Fuji
Breakfast was the best we had in a hotel in Japan (although coffee could be better)
great hotel lobby with spectacular views of Yokohama
