Upon arrival after midnight on 30th October 2024 the receptionist Juaquin asked me how my journey had been. I told him it has been very difficult as I had been hoping for a meal, beer sauna and bed. Thanks to a four hour Ryanair flight delay none of this would be possible. Juaquin was very concerned about this found me a place where I could have eaten close by. As it was now 00.45hrs I was too tired but he offered to set up the sauna for me if I wanted. He then offered to make me a small sandwich. This was much appreciated and he brought it upstairs for me and directed me to the minibar where I found a beer. A great attitude to service. Well done Juaquin and I will be coming back to your hotel on my next visit.

The food for breakfast was really good and there were a lot of options to choose from. We ate a late dinner in the restaurant just before closing and the staff was really helpful and we felt welcomed. Also the food was amazing, we had fungi risotto and arancini.
We were able to do an early check in and left our bags after check out.

Gothenburg was on my bucket list and I can definitely recommend it to others. My favourite place was Monument 031, a concert venue featuring a lot of local metal bands with a super friendly staff. I also found that Gothenburg - while huge - is very easy to travel by foot. If you're a metalhead, you will have to check out The Abyss too!

Fantastic transit, many interesting areas to explore in the city and most feel relatively safe. Good shopping. Historic Haga in central Gothenburg is a must see; its laneways are filled with bookstores, bakeries, coffee shops and wonderful places to treasure hunt.

It was absolutely amazing that we were offered free snacks and tea or coffee round the clock. When it comes to breakfast, it was much better than we expected - with such a variety of meals everybody was able to eat what they wanted.
Besides, the room was really clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Moreover, if you are interested in football, it is really close from the hotel to the Gamla Ullevi, which is the stadium of IFK Göteborg.
Hotel Vanilla is in a great location for the city centre and transport. The staff are great and extremely helpful and flexible. Breakfast was also great. All the admin stuff went very smoothly. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a place in Central Göteborg!!
