Best Western Amsterdam, hotel in Amsterdam

Best Western Amsterdam is located in Amsterdam West district, just off the A10 city ring and 20 minutes' by public transport from the old city center.

- the hotel has a 'sustainability' program - one can choose not to have sheets and towels changed (even collecting points for it) -- the challenge is that this is 'opt-in' and to figure out how to do it, one has to read the entire flyer, it is not intuitive. - room was spotless - light switches were easy to find (hehe)

FAQs about hotels in Amsterdam

The Best Culture and Nightlife this Side of a Canal

Jump on your city bike or hop on a canal boat and admire Amsterdam, the Venice of the North! The beautiful city houses, romantic bridges, iconic canals and street cafés create its unique atmosphere and give you an ultimate taste of its fascinating past.

Famous for its museums, most important of which are located in the Museumplein, Amsterdam offers you a chance to see unforgettable masterpieces by Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Mondriaan and more. The Anne Frank House is a sobering reminder of the city’s more recent history. After a lot of walking, the Rijksmuseum is a great place to rest and get some extra culture before visiting Amsterdam’s lovely Vondelpark.

The medieval Old Center with the always busy Dam Square and the tempting Red Lights District is the most visited part of Amsterdam. Make sure to stop at Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein, homes to the best nightlife venues.

Shop till you drop at Amsterdam’s most luxury shopping street, PC Hooftstraat, the most popular street market at Albert Cuyp or in the fancy design shops of the Jordaan district. Famous pancakes and frites with mayonnaise are a must-try! The more adventurous traveler might want to try the pickled herring, followed closely by a local beer.

All these attractions are just a short train ride from the Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. Whether you want to stay at a cozy hotel on a canal, a modern apartment in a quiet part of the city or a room in the center of everything, Booking.com has a perfect accommodation for your Amsterdam vacation.

    Fantastic destination.

Fantastic destination. Walkable with great public transportation, many things to see, beautiful canals and architecture, easy for English speakers to navigate. Great restaurants and museums. Watch out for the bicycle traffic--no joke, they do not stop for pedestrians and everyone seems to be riding bikes and electric bikes--very high bike traffic on many streets (they have separate bicycle lanes but you need to cross them to get across the street). Buy museum tickets in advance online, they can become unavailable in summer for most days and times.

Good short holiday location in the relatively safe and relatively clean city of Amsterdam. very easy to get around by public transport (tram) and bike. We rented from Black Bikes - well located in 10+ stores around the city. The location of our hotel was good - just away from the main touristy-tat (and there is loads of that), but well located beside a city park and with plenty to do nearby, the zoo and well connected by tram. I would recommend this hotel and hopefully come back to Amsterdam and spend another enjoyable few days there.

The city is beautiful and has a lot of things to see, visit and experience. The restaurants offer amazing options. The only problem is the smell of marihuana in every corner making it very unpleasant and unhealthy to visit.

Very vibrant city.. Very easy to travel around the city, there is a very good metro, tram, buses and ferry. For blunt loves, Terp Cafe was amazing however my humble advice, a roll is for more than 1 person.. Amsterdam is more enjoyable in groups.

Great, walkable city. Lots of things to do and see. People are friendly. So, so, so many bikes! WOW. Food options are many and delicious. It is a bit pricey so be prepared. Also, I wouldn’t recommend it for people with mobility issues as the streets are uneven and sidewalks can be narrow in city center.

Amsterdam by day is hectic if you are a cycling tourist.

Amsterdam by day is hectic if you are a cycling tourist. Recommend doing the canal tour by Lovers, or smokeboat tour. Definitely make a circular tour of the attractions in order to visit them in order quicker. My favourite is to rent a bicycle and tour the city between evening and nightime, its just majestic, and stop for a coffee by any coffeeshop with a view by the canals. Rembrandtplein has many restaurants and bars to enjoy , and also for souvenirs head to leidseplein and follow the tram lines until the end opf the road. Another nice place for a walk is from Rokin all the way down to Dam square, where you see all the highstreet stores and you are brought upon amsterdams main square with the royal palace, the Bijenkorf Department store, and Madam Tussaud. If you are staying a few kilometers out of city centre like Sloterdijk use metro, tram and bus with GVB card, and if nearer to city centre walking is perfect to jump from canal to canal or one attraction to another.

Although the hotel is a bit far from the city centre, I see this as a plus - the area is very quiet, and the public transportation is excellent. There's a tram stop right in front of the hotel, and a nearby train station offers regional trains that take you to the main railway station in just 10 minutes. Also, the room size was a pleasant surprise - it's rare to find a 22 m² room in Amsterdam!

Location is just outside of the Amsterdam city centre, but easily accessible by trains, trams and buses. For the price of this amazing hotel, compared to the hostels we were finding in the city centre for slightly more, we decided to stay here and did not regret it. The hotel is really beautiful!. The train, tram and bus station is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
