An absolute gem. This guesthouse is the definition of comfort, good location and attentive and kind staff. The owner was so helpful in arranging our taxis, offering us early breakfast and packed lunch before our trek , and going out of the way to make us feel welcome. The location is very quiet and only a 5 minute walk to the beginning of the city market. A beautiful garden out front as well. Highly recommended.

Beautiful monasteries and the town is cleaner the other Indian places. The Laddakhi people are honest, quiet, and not pushy with customers. All in all, a breath of fresh air from the filth and madness that characterizes much of the country.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my way around Leh.
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my way around Leh. There is, pretty much, everything you might need from clothing to medicine, souvenirs, and even oxygen and gas cannisters!
The wide cultural variety was always in full view.
Don't forget that altitude and illness can affect your appreciation of the region, as I discovered. From sea-level to 1100ft in one heave needs to be taken seriously!

Hot and dry.. expensive and not so good food.
Hot and dry.. expensive and not so good food. Taxi union charge more than the appropriate charge for the tour. Poor bus connectivity. Pangong is nice. Diskit and hunder was fine. I would recommend going to pangong, for me Himachal is a better option.

5 days in Leh with my spouse was pure magic!
5 days in Leh with my spouse was pure magic! We explored ancient monasteries, gasped at turquoise Pangong Tso, and hand-in-hand, braved the high altitudes. Leh's beauty brought us closer, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
We had a great stay at Dolma & Wong's home. They are very friendly, fulfilling all your needs.
We've been there several times during our stay in Ladakh, rooms were always clean, well maintained and very quiet.
Breakfast was simple but suited perfectly our taste (bread, butter, peanutbutter, jam, coffee and tea).
Wong is very helpful when it comes to planning of any trekks, hiring motorbikes or booking a taxi.
Thanks a lot for having us!
The Puma House – the best place I’ve stayed in Ladakh. Spacious and clean room (we were even offered to choose a room from several available ones), very responsive staff, hot water, fast internet, good breakfast.
Right after our arrival, we had issues due to acclimatization, and Jimmy helped us with altitude sickness pills.
I highly recommend it and give it a 10 out of 10!
Dolma's family are wonderfully kind and caring. Despite the cold outside, inside the home it felt so warm and comfortable. Ladakhi winter turned out to be so pleasant owing to the love and care from Dolma and everyone in her wonderful family. I learnt a lot from all family members - Dolma, Tashi, Achuk, Dolker and Angmo, in only a few days, and honestly can't wait to be back.
The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming and really made me feel like I was at home. Anu's bright and positive energy really brings the property to life!! The breakfast was really tasty. Every bedroom has a little private balcony area and the garden was beautiful. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. I would not stay anywhere but here if I visit Ladakh again.
Every one at Metnokling is amazing. Super nice people all around. They helped me book taxis, get permits, everything I needed. The owner even took me on a taxi tour which I learned a great deal about Ladakh from. Amazing place.
