The rooms of the guesthouse were clean and fresh. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent - clean and big. We also really enjoyed the breakfast and the outdoor space. We had a family room - which meant the kids could close the door to their 2 beds. Made it feel like a bigger room.

Great stay in this small town - feels like a gem! We were 'upgraded' to stay in the actual hotel vs the guesthouse down the street. We enjoyed being in the building with the restaurant - which we also ate at and loved!

This is a town steeped in history, with very casual ambiance in the town centre. The three gothic cathedrals are architectural gems and the restaurants that dot the Grand Place all serve tasty local fare. Everything is within walking distance. Of special note is the hops museum which takes one through all the process from farm to beer.

Only stayed in the area for a couple of days. Ate at 'The Old Fiddler', which was very good. Plenty of other eateries of all types available in the town centre.
The railway station has a regular service to Ypres / Ieper and beyond.

Great for anybody interested in WW1, plus it has some interesting independent shops. Talbot House is a must-visit place. Okay, so all of the restaurants are closed on Monday evenings, but who cares when you can visit the frituur 'Du Tram' which probably serves the best frites for miles? Easy to walk around, although the one-way system for driving is a bit confusing. Well worth a look at when visiting Ypres.

A delightful and picturesque town with so much to see and enjoy. Excellent bars and places to eat. A bit like a smaller version of Ypres but less manic. Cafe De La Paix was a good place to get a wide selection of beers and a good meal. Talbot House is a must to see. Easy and pleasant place to walk around in the evening.

Interesting little town - plenty to see and do in and around the town for a short break. Restaurants a bit pricey - but plenty of choice. Would particularly recommend the Hop Museum, making a trip out to the St Bernardus brewery (great value guided tour /beer tasting- book in advance) and visiting Ghent and Brugge. You can also walk to St Sixtus monastery (more beer- and a cafe for lunch!).

Our room was recently refurbished: modern styling and probably acoustics have been taken into account as it was a very quiet room. The bed was very comfy. Bathroom well equipped, not big, but practical. Everything was there.
Breakfast buffet is what you would expect: good choice.
We had dinner at the restaurant: highly recommended.
The location is great in the centre of Poperinge.
Poperinge is a small town near Ypres. It has a lot of WW1 historical significance. We go every year for a local festival and like the overall experience of the place. The Palace hotel is very convenient and we enjoyed our stay
the hotel was exceptional, every detail had been thought of, staff were very friendly, we couldn't fault this hotel at all. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, they have just got everything right.
