It was lovely! Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, and beautiful room. We would love to stay at Hotel Albion again!
Just outside Ypres, you’ll find the cozy family hotel of Flanders Lodge, with a nice winter garden restaurant and the charm of a log cabin.

For the price this hotel was perfect and exceeded my expectation. the facilities are very nice and the staff when arriving (late) were super friendly and helpful. Dinner was also excellent, a perfectly cooked steak.

This is a charming, family-owned hotel in a wonderful location. It's easy to walk to attractions in town. We can't say enough kind things about Vincent, one of the owners. He is a great host! He took an interest in why we came to Ypres/Ieper and gave us maps and advice on how best to spend our time. The room was very clean and it met our needs well. There is no elevator (as is common in Europe), so pack light and be prepared.

An easy place to get around by foot as nothing is too far. Good variety of restaurants to choose from. Hired a rental car and parking wasn’t a problem and the surrounds were easy to drive through as our trip was based around the Flanders Fields

Ypres is a must for anyone who has an interest in WW1 history or wants to experience Flemish culture. The city is small but there is much to see. I would recommend a 2 or 3 day stop as being sufficient time to get the most out of your visit. The visitor should take the time to visit the tourist office in the market square - a really comprehensive and helpful service. We planned out our visit from there and this allowed us to maximise our time. In terms of culinary delights - Ypres did not fail to deliver!!!

This was our second visit Ypres to pay our respects to New Zealand Soldiers family members who were killed in action in WWI. Their grave sites are in Tyncot and Belgium Battery Corner.
These sites are immaculately looked after and makes us feel our fallen family members are well cared for and respected.
On this occassion we also attended the daily rememberance ceromany at Memem Gates which is very moving and a sobering experience.
On a brighter note the town center is very clean and well presented with plenty of museums and great selections of cafes.

We did a full day tour of the WW1 Battlefields, if you plan to do this, you need 2 full days in Ypres. The town is lovely to walk around and explore as well, so doing a tour will prevent exploration of the town.
The Menin Gate Last Post service is a must when visiting, it attracts many people. There are some good restaurants in the Grote Market Square. Ypres is easy to get around by walking, no taco or public transport is necessary.

Staff incredibly helpful especially with helping me find disabled parking as the Ypres Rally had been on. Room was clean, bed was very comfy, room was on the smaller side but lovely and quiet and we spent all day out so didn't matter, bathroom was lovely, modern and clean, easy to get ready in, and shower pressure was good! Great location just on the market square and not far from the Menin Gate.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful, every little detail was perfect. The owner was so welcoming
Location was literally round the corner from Ypres centre and the Menin Gate
Breakfast was delicious
The hotel exceeded all expectations, whilst the website showed a beautiful property and was realistic it was all the small added details that made it even more perfect
Stayed here many years ago and very pleased to see the Ariane hasn't dropped it's standards. Rooms were lovely, great location close to the centre of Ypres. The staff were really friendly, allowing us to use the car park hours before check-in. We picked this hotel because of all the WW1 exhibits in the lobby and dotted around the hotel!
