EVERYTHING was great about this Hotel ..it's pretty far outside of the city, but I certainly understand why. It was quiet, clean, and everything you might need is in the Hotel or very nearby. The restaurant was fantastic and the waitstaff was exceptional.

Hmmm, what a question, a review of Schönefeld airport pictured in the sign? I once almost booked a hotel in the city of Schönefeld but discovered I would have been nowhere near the airport or downtown Berlin. Oops.
The BER airport actually has very little to do with the cities of Schönefeld or Berlin - it's isolated out in the middle of nowhere. It took forever to build and is a 45 minute trip from Berlin, minimum. Best to take a direct FEX train.
That said, the city of Schönefeld looks gemütlich, classic Deutsch and BER airport is well designed, modern, with efficient staff.

Hotel cleanliness and staff service were all good.
Hotel cleanliness and staff service were all good. Except there were no clear sign from airport to the hotel. For 1st timer at the Berlin Airport was challenging to locate. There is also no covered walkway from T1 to the hotel. We have the braved the cold and rain.

The only reason I booked an airport hotel was because I had a lay-over on the way to somewhere else. I paid little attention to my brief stay as it was purely a comfortable place to stay while passing time waiting for my onward connection.

Public transportation in Berlin was easy to figure out and allowed us to move around and see what we wanted easily. End of Sept was a good time to visit weather wise. Not too hot, not too cold. No trouble getting into the museums and places we wanted to see. No trouble finding good places to eat. We spent two full days but could have easily spent more.

I just re-booked for the full price of an overnight in the coming week, but would only use the hotel room to freshen up (& dinner) for a few hours, before continuing the journey home in Denmark. I requested a couple of hours early check-in after arriving from our flight from Sicily, considering that paying full price for a few hours stay, and would like to use the room until 21:00. Unfortunately the hotel required an additional 30€. I am very disappointed, considering that we are vacating the room the same day.

The best hotel I've ever been! It had a great free spa with two working saunas, bathrobes, drinking water, and a gym nearby. We relaxed after a hard day in the city. The furniture was new, and many important details were included. I would recommend to visit it before your flight - this hotel is really worth it. I plan to come back there when I am in Berlin next time.
The location is in a quiet area of Schonefeld, about 15 minutes to the airport by taxi. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Rich breakfast, helpful staff. The hotel is located in an ideal distance from the airport especially when you have an early flight next morning.
