It is a small town.
It is a small town. We went on off season so it was not crazy busy but i heard that during the summer traffic becomes nerve-racking. As attractions, I would say that the Caracalla Spa, walking in town (don't miss the Café König), ride a bus that takes you through a beautiful residencial area are basically what can be done there. We are not hikers persons so ... for us that was it.

Baden-Baden is a beautiful resort town.
Baden-Baden is a beautiful resort town. The architecture and natural surroundings are well worth a visit. The main draw is the two major spas (Fredreichbaths and Caracalla Spa). The latter is more mainstream, with a large modern spa facility, the former is a traditional roman style bath experience. The entire city is very walkable, and you would only need to use a vehicle to get from the station to the central area.
Baden-Baden is a playground for the wealthy, and as such expect ~30% increase in the price of activities, food and lodgings compared to other areas of Germany. The town is a favorite of the older generations, making it less of a draw for backpackers or younger people looking to be social or meet the locals. There is a lack of nightlife or social events, but the casino and ballet make it great for those looking to take a luxury getaway.

Baden-Baden really is a lovely town.
Baden-Baden really is a lovely town. The old castle and the Mekur mountain railway are each about an hour on foot (uphill)! Lichentaller allee is a tree lined walk along the river, passing many stunning properties, a rose garden and a dahlia garden. Plenty of restaurants and great beer to round off the days sightseeing.

This family run guesthouse hotel restaurant is well situated nearby Baden Baden centre with the car. Easy parking. Nature park very closeby for walking. Spacious rooms, quiet at the rear of hotel. No lift. 2 floors. Mini fridge in room. No kettle nor tea facilities in the room. Nice shower. Balcony with my room 112 at rear. Restaurant pricy but excellent food and wine and service.
Breakfast 10/10 for me. Beautifully presented, beautiful room, ceiling and good variety of food. Good price overall.
The hotel is potentially beautiful but a bit dated. Nonetheless, it is very clean and comfortable. Our room was really big and spacious and the bathroom is nearly done. Location is great, walking distance from everything. This hotel has great potentials, I believe it used to be a luxury hotel in the olden days. It’s got a lot of charme.
It is always such a pleasure staying at my favourite hotel in Baden Baden. From arrival until I left everything was simply excellent: supportive, attentive, very friendly staff and service. I always enjoy the truly heavenly delicious breakfast, the amazing SPA and Wellness area. Can't wait to be back in Spring next year!
The room was clean. The hotel is in the city centre of Baden-Baden and in front of Caracalla and Friederischbad. The hotel offer a discount on the nearby spa. It is surrounded by many restaurants, and close to bus stops to reach the train station. Breakfast is good, ok-ish.
