This is a lovely property in a very special place. But I have to say it’s really the staff that make it. Although the property and the facilities are really wonderful, they are exceptional. They are organized and they are well oiled machine from organized tours, to the meals, to a beautiful fire pit area. Everything’s always on time and always organized. Much appreciated.
Located steps from the historic Mission Church, this hotel features an outdoor pool and shuttle services from Bahuichivo. Each room is decorated in Mexican décor and feature tiled bathrooms.

Likely the best place in Urique. Fantastic setting, clean and modern. The pool area is comfortable and relaxing. The owner/manager, Francisco, went out of his way to make our stay a pleasant one. Highly recommended!

The staff. What a wonderful couple that run the hotel. So accommodating. Gave us so much local knowledge and was fun to boot! We will definitely be back.
What an amazing adventure. If you are planning a trip to Cerocahui, I'd highly recommend staying at Hotel Paraiso del Oso. Hugo, met my wife and I at the train station on our arrival. The location is unbelievable. Giant ancient stone pillars surround the hotel. Hugo also acted as our personal guide for two days. The first day we visited the small village of Cerocahui and toured the mission built in the 1600's. The next day Hugo took us over the high mountain pass (Unbelievable views) and down to the village of Urique. We had a wonderful home-cooked traditional lunch in a restaurant filled with tropical plants, walked the town, and suspension bridge over the river. Each room has wood burning stove for chilly nights. Very, very serene and peaceful. Our host, Hugo Rhodes, has been in the area for many years and extremely knowledgeable. (One mountain is named for his great grandfather.) Great place to experience Copper Canyon, Chihuahua, MX.
