The Lakes Hotel used to be under a lovely management with great customer care from recollections from Great Britain. Unfortunately now under care of Greenwhich Inn management a chain of management and were rude and dismissive and this is a great location and the facilities have the potential to be really good but the unfriendly and money driven management style and lack of customer care makes it an unpleasant experience. The budget rooms near the office is like living in a dark garage and are noisy.

Toukley was very relaxed, people were friendly, and so many facilities or venues were close by and walking distance from the Toukley Motor Inn. The staff were very accommodating and the experience was great in general. I would happily stay again at TMI and visit the beaches around the Toukley area. Westfield's is within 30 minutes drive, beaches within 5 minutes, and can walk to almost anything else to have a fun day/night with friends or family.

It was a last minute booking but could not have been better. It ticked all the boxes for us. We did a lot of our own cooking in the unit plus we used the BBQ. We mostly wanted to relax & it was pefect & very quiet.

We had a horse racing at Wyong and looked for convenient comfortable affordable accommodation. The weather was windy, cold, wet and miserable in Jan which is not normal. In decent weather it would be a great place to stay with kids so long as you have a SMALL vehicle and you don’t move it.

The room was in the basement under the ground with no windows or balcony just like a prison cell. Those information were not available on booking.com when we made the reservation which was really upsetting and misleading

Toukley is surrounded by water, beautiful Lakes and beaches. It is a clean and very friendly town, and has everything you would want, including shopping centres not far away.
The weather is perfect nearly all year around. Whilst Adelaide and Melbourne were sweltering with temperatures in the 40’s Toukley had 20-30 deg temperatures.
There was nothing not to love about the Beachcomber Hotel. The staff on arrival were exceptional, the upgraded room to a waterview ( so much appreciated as its our first vacation for some time) and the view is just amazing. A beautiful room with a very comfortable bed. Plenty of on-site parking as well.
We dined at "Beachies" and again, the staff, the food, and that amazing view made for a truly wonderful stay.
We are returning in another fortnight so we are really looking forward to our stay again.
Arrived and went to room but the overpowering disinfectant smell made it impossible to stay. We tried leaving the door open but after an hour we decided to leave.
We advised reception but couldn’t bring myself to complain as the receptionist was holding her newborn so I didn’t wish to upset her.
I did message and request a refund but the hotel refused.
Great location next to Canton Beach. Short drive to cafes and Toukley shopping centre. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Accommodation was comfortable, clean and well maintained. We have stayed here before and this was an improvement from our previous stay. Will return again.
The heated pool was incredible and the spa was like a nice hot bath. There was also a steam room and sauna! The hotel is close to everything and the staff were lovely and helpful. The location of the hotel by the lake was gorgeous. We will be back.
