The public transport was sensational always clean and prompt, we rarely had to wait for any length of time.
Food was reasonably priced at hotels and drinks were cheap.
I love the harbour and all the activities that can be done which are free, or you can combine a transport trip that doubles as an experience eg Manly Ferry.

We actually live in Sydney, but when we are going out and are likely to be late home or leaving the venue, we often opt to stay overnight. This was one of those instances.
There is so much to see and do in Sydney. We often go in for the trip and take a ferry ride.
The Rocks is also a fabulous are to explore and the Rocks markets are the best!

Brilliant city with fantastic affordable public transport,...
Brilliant city with fantastic affordable public transport, but not a place for late night eating. We found most restaurants in the centre beginning to close as early as 20:30.
Day trips across the water making use of the fantastic water bus service are a must, as are the walks in the parks around the harbour. Circular Quay is a great place to hang out with loads of food outlets - but don’t bank on any kind of late night culture.

Sydney on the harbour is spectacular and ferries regular.
Sydney on the harbour is spectacular and ferries regular. The Rocks area, Opera House are interesting and iconic. Galleries and museums accessible by light rail and walking. Beaches excellent accessed by public transport. Barangaroo and Darling Harbour very hip with eateries galore. Ferry trip to Watson's Bay and South Head cliffs worth the trip.

Sydney is becoming a modern place but a little bit pricy compare to other city I’ve been too. I can see mix of people which is unique and diverse. I hope they can build more attraction like Disneyland or Universal Studio to attract more people. They say Sydney is becoming more boring once they see it they never want to come back anymore. But I guess they need to boost the tourism it is not just the Opera and the Harbour Bridge there is more on Sydney to explore.

Unfortunately the weather was terrible.
Unfortunately the weather was terrible. I had come for an anniversary of Willoughby Girls High school and to meet up with old girls from my time at school.
Vivid was on in Sydney but I didn't venture out at night as I would have been drenched.
Chatswood shopping centre lights up after dark when it is fine and there are many street food vendors offering different meals.
The trains were easy to access and generally ran on time.
Location and decor of hotel were spectacular situated in the heart of Sydney CBD shops. Staff were also lovely. Bathroom was awesome. Breakfast dining area surroundings were so special being situated in a converted heritage post office building. Was very convenient to get to the theatre shows we were watching that day and night and close to public transport.
We stayed here because CBD pricing was exuberant due to a city marathon the following morning so it was a bit of a mission returning to Olympic Park after a night in the city however this is no fault of the hotel but something to keep in mind for others. Staff were lovely. Parking convenient but pricey. Bed was comfortable.
Relaxed, friendly, reassuring and knowledgeable front desk staff. Very good hotel location close to airport train, supermarket, all things CBD/domain and to restaurants in Chinatown. The very clear large free street map offered at reception is very useful.
Great location, close to Darling Harbour - we were attending a show at The Star, so very convenient.
Plenty of places to eat nearby and fairly easy to access. These hotels are distinctive.
