Lovely surroundings. Proximity to ocean beach. Wild life, birds - except when Kookaburras took my chicken & salad roll from my hand while I was sitting on the veranda eating lunch & a Kookaburra attempted to take food from the side my husband 's mouth. Great being so close to the supermarket.

It was a very easy 8 minute walk into Lorne from our apartment and we could walk along the boardwalk or take the street paths.
The beaches were lovely and gorgeous views from our balcony. The apartment was furnished and decorated beautifully.
I could not fault anything and will be back again.

Our hostess Sally, has put together a very cosy, comfortable, romantic Parisian room together with great taste. Very large and comfortable bed, all the amenities you could possibly need. Great support if in need, prompt, friendly, professional and persistent. Great location, made getting around Lorne and beach very easy.

Lorne is a lovely place to stay, The beach is clean and good for swimming, and lovely to walk along in the evening. There are plenty of shops to look at, and a good variety of cafes, casual dining and restaurants to choose from. You can access all of Lorne without needing the car. There is a range of stunning walks that can be reached either by foot or by car, with a choice of difficulty ranging from stroller friendly to strenuous.

This was our first visit to Lorne and we were impressed from the moment we drove into town. It is bigger and more modern than we pictured, but not over-developed and certainly not crowded. The town is reminiscent of south-east Queensland, without the heat and humidity. The beach is perfect for young families: a gentle gradient and waves for all ages. There were too many eateries for our three-day stay – one of the main reasons we'll return. Ipsos Restaurant is extremely popular all day long, however, we walked in without a reservation. Captain Hooked fish and chips is well worth a repeat. The locally made Gelato is smooth and packed with flavour. Erskine Falls and Sheoak Falls provide opportunity for manageable bursts of exercise away from the beach, with a nice reward at the end, contrasting abundant tree ferns of the temperate rainforest with sea-side bracken. Short drives to Aireys Inlet and Anglesea afford further opportunities to experience the Great Ocean Road and expand the tourist options on offer with lighthouse tours, canoeing and surf lessons.

Very pricey. Mostly friendly people.
Very pricey. Mostly friendly people. Had a miserable start to our stay our accommodation was horrible. We arrived and there was no one at reception. There was a sign up saying to ring a number which we did and it wouldn’t connect. Tried the door and it opened. There was a man inside who wasn’t much help. It was just horrible. Very unsettling. Very poor place to stay. 😞
The house is dirty needs professional cleaners, the bed is uncomfortable the bathroom and toilet is old could be a lovely place needs updating and cleaning the driveway is dangerous .pet friendly house but there is rat poison left out side where a dog can get it .over all location is good but I would be embarrassed to charge people money to stay there
The location is beautiful, back off the beach a bit but elevated and nice views out the front. And lorne is a beautiful place. The house was obviously very upmarket in its day. TV's in every room, the couches are very comfortable and the place has everything you need like a home away from home.
superb location with a wonderful view of Lorne & the ocean. Large, very comfortable and well-maintained house, within a walk of beach, shops and facilities. Pretty much everything you could require for a considerably longer stay than ours (just 2 nights) was available in the property.
The deck was an amazing place to be; the house was very comfortable and perfect for our group, including our dogs. We had a marvelous time at Lorne Haven.
