Location great for all we needed, really clean rooms, very friendly staff, breakfast was really good and lots of gluten free things for my husband. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and I’ve got to say it was one of the best meals we had all week (travelled all over) and the best meal I’ve ever eaten in a hotel. Very good price too. First class.

Beautiful old hotel. Period features everywhere and well maintained. Stunning location. Staff were so nice and helpful. There was no running water due to an outage in the city. The staff were so helpful and patient although it must have been so stressful to work under the circumstances. We received a full refund due to the outage.

Welcoming Galway is a small city with fantastic nightlife and an infectious atmosphere. Outside of the Galway Arts Festival, there’s still plenty of live music in the Irish pubs to get the party started.
The Galway Races at Ballybrit Race Course west of Galway Airport attract a good crowd, as does Eyre Square, a green space with flags of previous ruling families who gave it its nickname - City of Tribes. To the south are cobbled streets housing brightly colored shops and restaurants.
Sights in Galway include its cathedral and city museum which has an interesting insight into the history of the city and Ireland. Lynch’s Castle is the last remaining 17th-century merchant house, and the Spanish Arch is a small section of city walls by the Corrib River, linking Galway Bay to huge Loch Corrib. Where river and ocean meet is Claddagh Park, a great spot for a picnic with a view.
Further around the coast is Salthill Promenade, home to Atlantaquaria, Ireland’s national aquarium, focussing on sealife off Irish shores. It’s a Christmas Day tradition to jump from Blackrock Diving Tower nearby into the icy Atlantic Ocean, though you may well spot some wag giving it a go.

Galway is a fabulous place. Loads to do and everything is kind of near each other aswell which is great. We would of loving to take a stroll along the beach but the weather wasn't great it was raining. We stayed in the Clayton Hotel it was amazing the kids were delighted with the swimming pool. We ate in the restaurant there and the food was absolutely beautiful. The staff were very helpful and friendly. But Galway is defo a must place to visit. Great attractions and atmosphere. And finally the people of Galway are so kind and helpful.

Great time to visit. Christmas Market open.
Great time to visit. Christmas Market open. I heard London Welsh Male voice choir in the market and Kinavra orchestra in the small 700 year old chapel - standing ovation!

Wonderful night out dancing in the Kings Head and listening to amazing live music in very happy bar.

I've lost count of how many times I've visited and I still can't get over how pleasant people are. I have never felt scared or uncomfortable and I always travel alone.
I have breakfast in the hotel (mostly the ardilaun ) and that does me till late afternoon. Nice coffee on my walk in Costa or just one of the side streets. I eat wherever the day takes me but I'm not a fussy eater.

We did not stay long in Galway- just overnight.
We did not stay long in Galway- just overnight. He had to find Kirwan Ave and check out a few castles. Went to Mervin's Castle. We ate in the hotel, which was Sliding Rock. Their staff were great and treated us well. Since we were outside town, getting around by car was fairly easy on a Sunday and street parking was available.

The staff was extremely nice from check-in to check-out. They were helpful and friendly. The hotel overall was clean and modern and had a cool vibe. There is plenty to do with the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and plunge barrels. A well-equipped gym with recovery aids and a Boditrax scanner. The two restaurants were also very nice, I tried food from both, and they met my expectations. Great place to relax. Galway city center is a 2 minute walk and is very safe.
Ann was the sweetest host we had so far. She is so funny, really enjoyed talking to her. Everything was more than perfect. Room was super comfy, shower worked perfectly fine, breakfast was the best we had im Ireland so far, she made us feel like home.
And the location is just great. 10 minutes walk into the city centre.
We were very sad we had to leave and will definitely come back ❤️
Beautiful hotel with really big rooms. We booked last minute to see a concert at the airport as it is down the road so the location was the best thing for us! Turns out the band we went to see were also staying at the hotel! Also the buss stop outside the hotel has a bus that takes you to the city centre for 1.90. The staff were really nice and helpful for information too.
Our family room was large enough to accommodate all of us, but space was a bit limited overall. The city center is within walking distance and breakfast alternatives and dinner options are even closer, so the location is great. The breakfast served at the hotel is standard, good but not outstanding. The room was spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and helpful.
